OMG! Dieses Jahr ist weder in 15 Sekunden zusammengeschnitten noch in 20 Fotos gezeigt. Never ever kann ich euch klar machen, wieviel Freude und Herz in all diesen Momenten & Arbeiten meiner Selbständigkeit als Fotografin und zusätzlich Teil von @studiomoono steckt. Darüber hinaus bin ich auch noch Lehrerin für Fotografie an der @sfg_basel geworden und begleite junge FotografInnen auf ihrem eigenen Weg. WOW!

Ich kann es selbst nicht fassen, welch vielfältige Projekte, Shootings, Portraits, Videos, Vorträge, Grafiken & Konzepte ich dieses Jahr mit ganz tollen Menschen konzipieren & kreieren konnte. 5 fette Harddisks, über 40 Einzelprojekte, Zigtausende Fotos, fast genauso viel Videomaterial und digitale Ordner, die voll mit wahnsinnigen Aufträgen sind. Design & Kreation ist voll mein Herzensding, etwas das ich neben meinen Freunden, meinem Liebsten und Gustav nie wieder missen möchte.

Danke an Alle für diese arge Liebe & Freude & grossartige Zusammenarbeiten – BIG HUGS! Freu mich wahnsinnig auf 2026, es geht genauso weiter :)

Salam Alaykum Basel präsentiert gemeinsam mit über 40 engagierten Basler Muslim:innen und in Kooperation mit Inforel: die erste Islam Messe in Basel!✨
Wir laden alle Interessierten ein, die reiche und vielfältige Welt des Islams kennenzulernen. An verschiedenen Themen-Ständen haben nicht-muslimische Besucher:innen die Möglichkeit, mehr über die Grundwerte, Lehren und Praktiken des Islams zu erfahren. Nutzt die Gelegenheit, mit jungen Muslim:innen ins Gespräch zu kommen, Fragen zu stellen und den Glauben in einer offenen und einladenden Atmosphäre zu entdecken.

You are cordially invited to the eighth and last format of the «Programme Cahiers d’Artistes»!  Maria Guta’s Cahier d’Artiste, entitled «Loneliness Beside The Swimming Pool», resembles a fan-book, in which her alter ego Lola Lane morphs into a significant number of celebrities and fictional characters spanning the past 100 years. The artist book with a text by Fabienne Radi was designed and published by Jungle Books with the support of Pro Helvetia.  At Palace, formerly a cinema, Lola Lane and Fabienne Radi will be reading excerpts from the text Radi contributed to the artist book. She crafted a cut-up of texts that take us on a whirlwind tour of Lola Lane’s multiple lives. It’s like a compressed showcase of stars and ‚it girls‘ spanning the 1920s to 2020, from Joan Crawford to Britney Spears, and other intriguing characters who’ve experienced their fair share of decadence, tragedy, and roller-coaster journeys.  Following the reading, Maria Guta will be talking with Fabienne Radi as well as the designers and publishers of the Cahier – Larissa Kasper, Rosario Florio and Samuel Bänziger from Jungle Books – about pop culture, beauty ideals, immortality and fame. Come and play with us at the seventh event of the «Programme Cahiers d’Artistes»!  A team of Affective Evaluation* will welcome you in the lobby of Löwenbräukunst and invite you to play their latest psycho quiz. The performance runs from 14:00 until 18:00 and you can join us at any time.   * Affective Evaluation is an entity, which is «at once a research group, a corporation, an institute, and an organization – in short, an institution with shifting, indeed even tentacular forms that provide a space for a fiction and which frame some of the performative situations I propose.» (Eva Zornio)   The afternoon will also provide an opportunity to view Eva Zornio’s Cahier d’Artiste and obtain a copy. The artist book, entitled «Who are you performing today?», is based on a survey that Zornio conducted during the Backslash Festival in Zurich in 2022. Please join us in Geneva for the sixth event of the «Programme Cahiers d’Artistes»!

The special evening celebrates the publishing of Thomas Julier’s Cahier d’Artiste «Just a Few Drops Down the Hatch». The artist’s book consists of photographs and poems. Julier’s subtle images depict absurd and strange architecture, luring landscape views, objects and statues which are seemingly alive, animals ignoring the camera, fading beauty and fashion advertisements, and other traces of human activity in unnamed urban and suburban sceneries. The poems accompanying the photographs consist of slogans from T-shirts that Julier has been collecting for several years. He has thematically grouped and compiled them into poems that correspond with the images. The book contains an essay by Roman Selim Khereddine. It was designed and published by Jungle Books with the support of Pro Helvetia. Everyone is warmly invited to join us for vegetarian finger food & drinks.

It is already time to announce the fifth event of the «Programme Cahiers d’Artistes»!  In the attic of KRONE COURONNE artist Gabriel Stöckli will show some of his latest works: Senza titolo [Untitled] (2023) is a series of sound sculptures that the artist conceived during his residency at Cité internationale des arts in Paris earlier this year. They are inspired, like many of Stöckli’s works, by the daily observation of his surroundings and their slow absorption. Domestic life, conviviality, irony, human intelligence – some of the issues that interest him the most – have been circumscribed, synthesized and returned in a new, unusual context. Taking inspiration from two sound sculptures by Gabriel Stöckli, musicians Marco Guglielmetti, Paul Pedrazzini and Matteo Simonin will perform live on this evening. They will start playing to the soundtrack of the sculpture Dream Operator, overlapping with it and then present other compositions. There will be snacks & beer during and following the concert.   The evening will also provide an opportunity to view Gabriel Stöckli’s Cahier d’Artiste and obtain a copy if interested. The centrepiece of the artist book, entitled «Cuori», is a captivating conversation between the artist and writer Stella Succi, enriched with visual interventions by Gabriel Stöckli. The publication also includes a selection of illustrations from the renowned Italian weekly magazine La Settimana Enigmistica, which Stöckli has arranged into new collages. We are pleased to invite you to the fourth event of the «Programme Cahiers d’Artistes»!  Rhona Mühlebach will be talking with Chloë Reid, writer and artist from Johannesburg, about Mühlebach’s practice and recent Cahier d’Artiste. The artist book, entitled «Obstacles for Cows», consists of eight music notebooks, whose scores are based on Mühlebach’s screenplays. An essay by Chloë Reid runs through the entire publication and ties the individual notebooks together. The conversation will take place in the exhibition «Waschbärbau und Wurmloch» at Projektraum AUTO, where some of Rhona Mühlebach’s latest works are on display.
