Who else owns or works with female dogs that judge the absolute 💩 out of them?! 😂

Apparently, some female dogs might be paying closer attention to our competence than we’d like to think; HOWEVER, it doesn’t matter how competent you are, because we’ve made participating in our Pet MatRx Dog Crap Study practically dummy-proof 😬

Head over to today’s @petmatrx collab post and comment OH CRAP, and we’ll send you the survey link!

TLDR: Female dogs preferentially approached humans who demonstrated competence when food was available, suggesting dogs may evaluate human performance when making reward-related decisions, although males showed no significant preference.

I want to personally thank Paul @irondogk9 for welcoming me and allowing me to be a part of your team at @atk9usa . It was a great experience working alongside such a dedicated group of people, sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and continuing to grow as trainers.

I appreciate the opportunity, the hospitality, and the time spent working together. Looking forward to future events and continuing to learn from each other. Good people, good dogs, and a shared passion for the work 🐕

We make gear for a lot of different roles, and K9 is one of them. From remote holders to our Rapid Reward carrier and K9 Breaker Bar Sheath, we’ve got a few things for the four-legged crew, too.

First off, these incredible photos are from @osaki022 (the best in the game).

Massive shoutout to Bob and Erika Solimini of @allamerican_k9 for taking our stage and absolutely crushing it, pouring 35 years of hard-won experience into 180+ trainers at this year’s 2026 @offleashk9training Trainers Summit.

Bob is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished French Ring decoys in the United States, a Level III decoy who has spent decades behind the suit and training others across the country.

Erika has won more French Ring championships than is worth mentioning.

🐾 The decoy makes or breaks the dog. The man in the suit is not a prop, he is the teacher. A great decoy builds confidence, a bad one builds problems.
🐾 French Ring is the ultimate honesty test, obedience, jumps, and protection all under real pressure. You cannot fake your way through it.
🐾 Drive and control are not opposites. Bob and Erika’s balanced system builds both at the same time.

Bob and Erika, thank you for showing up, leveling up our trainers, and reminding everyone what mastery actually looks like.

If you ever want to learn decoying from multi time national champions…I would and DO recommend them.

It was truly a pleasure to have you 👏

Shoutout to @voilapets for providing 180+ trainers with their incredible treat pouches and adventure clips! Unarguably the best! 👏

He doesn’t just show up, he shifts how you think in a hilarious and unique delivery style! 😂

Massive shoutout to @xjayjackx13 of @nextleveldogs for taking our stage and absolutely crushing it, pouring his approach to clear communication and building a truly livable dog into 180+ trainers at this year’s 2026 @offleashk9training Trainers Summit.

Jay’s “Windows Theory” is one of those frameworks that rewires how you see training. A few takeaways that stuck:

🐾 “Obedience is not a lifestyle.” You wouldn’t say a dog has “meatloaf reactivity.” Name exactly what’s happening and train THAT.
🐾 The 4 Windows: Play With You, Find Their Own Fun, Free & Calm, and Work. A dog is always in one, and your job is to name it so the dog gets clarity.
🐾 “As much as you need, as little as possible.” You’re not done training the dog until you can trust them at liberty.

Jay, thank you for showing up, leveling up our trainers, and proving again why you’re one of the sharpest minds in the game.

First off, these incredible photos are from @osaki022 (the best in the game).

Three years running, and they do NOT miss. 🔥

Massive shoutout to Stephanie Vichinsky and Hope Webster of @methodk9 for taking our stage for the THIRD year in a row and absolutely crushing it again, pouring their knowledge of dealing with reactivity and aggression into 180+ trainers at this year’s 2026 @offleashk9training Trainers Summit.

Stephanie’s “Mind Over Mechanics” approach to the fearful, anxious, and reactive dog is a masterclass every single time. A few takeaways that stuck:

🐾 “Movement is life.” A reactive nervous system is stuck in fight-or-flight, movement gives the dog a healthy outlet and the ability to make choices again.
🐾 Teach the dog to REST. So many of these dogs have never learned how to shut off.
🐾 Fix the relationship with touch, and you fix the dog.

Stephanie and Hope, thank you for showing up, leveling up our trainers, and proving again why you’re the best in the game at this.

Our dogs at home had no idea where we went. But everything we learned there was for them. 🐾

We spent last weekend in Fredericksburg, VA, surrounded by trainers who have given their whole lives to dogs.
Michael Ellis has spent 40+ years teaching the rest of us how dogs learn.

Stephanie Vichinsky fights for the fearful, reactive dogs everyone else has given up on.

Jay Jack showed us how play can be the outlet that finally settles a busy, driven dog at home.

Larry Krohn is trusted across the country for teaching owners how to truly communicate with their dogs.

Bob & Erika Solimini are legends in protection sports, Omar Von Muller trains dogs for Hollywood, and Cameron & Kristina Carlisle keep the heart of working dog sports alive — all for the love of the dogs.

But the dogs we kept thinking about were yours — the ones in Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville, and Springdale still waiting on their breakthrough. Everything we learned is coming home to them.

Those are the dogs we were taking notes for. Every page of it.

We do this work because we believe your dog’s story isn’t finished — and neither is yours with them. This weekend filled our cups back up, and we’re bringing all of it home to you.

Thank you for trusting us with your dogs. It means more than you know. ❤️

And to Nick White: thank you for pouring into your trainers and believing in us. We’re so thankful.

Today, Sergeant Skovold will log on for the last time as 5K7. Tonight will be K9 Lokis last shift as an apprehension dog for the City of Hawthorne. As a handler you hope and pray that your partner will make it to retirement where they can enjoy the finer things in life, but anyone that knows K9 Loki knows he will miss being in the back of that unit everyday doing his non stop circles out of anticipation to do his job. Thank you K9 Loki for all of your years serving the City of Good Neighbors and always protecting your partners out here on patrol. Enjoy the good retired life buddy we will miss you out here (especially your girlfriend Kai) #retiredlife #goodboy #policek9 #policek9unit

What a weekend. ❤️

We went to the OLK9 Summit in Fredericksburg, VA, and learned from trainers who have truly shaped the dog world.

Michael Ellis has spent 40+ years teaching trainers all over the world how dogs learn. His work changed how our whole industry trains.

Bob & Erika Solimini are icons in protection sports. Bob is one of the most respected decoys in the country — he was the only American ever selected to decoy the World Championships in France, and his skill has raised the standard for everyone.

Jay Jack changed the conversation around fulfilling a dog’s natural drives through play. Trainers everywhere train differently because of him.

Stephanie Vichinsky is changing lives through behavior work, giving hope to dogs others counted out.

Larry Krohn built Pak Masters after 20+ years as a federal agent, and he’s become one of the most trusted voices in the country for teaching owners how to actually communicate with their dogs.

Omar Von Muller competed in Schutzhund and French Ring before becoming the trainer celebrities and Hollywood studios call when they need a dog to perform on camera.

Cameron & Kristina Carlisle keep the heart of working dog sports alive, all for the love of the dogs.

These aren’t just speakers. They’re the people who moved this industry forward.

And now, everything they taught us is coming home to your dogs. 🐾

To Nick White: thank you for pouring your heart into your trainers. Because of you, we get to do what we love and keep getting better at it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
