POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎓 On Father's Day, I graduated with Honours from Seneca Polytechnic's Animation program.

I'm the first in my immediate family to graduate, so this milestone belongs to them as much as it does to me.

➡️ Scroll through to find a pic from orientation. Looking back at it now, none of us could have imagined what the next few years would hold.

This past year pushed me further than I thought possible. Alongside classes, part-time work, and passion projects, I had the privilege of co-leading animation on Run From It (dir. @korya.beebee ) with Nicolas @solicanis and an incredibly talented team of artists.

Through that experience, I learned how to manage my own capacity, communicate across different working styles, motivate a team, and support people in growing beyond what they thought they were capable of. My favourite part was watching my classmates rise to every challenge and exceed their own expectations.

At the beginning of the year, one of my professors warned us about burnout and encouraged us to keep a reminder of what grounded us. I set a monthly calendar reminder that read: "Reasons why I love Run From It."

...The answer was never really about the film itself. It was about the people making it.

The perseverance, creativity, and dedication of my classmates continually reminded me why I chose this path.

Thank you to my friends, my crew, my professors, the lovely folks at Jam Filled for their mentorship through the Diversity in Animation Scholarship, my family, and my partner. I could not have done this without you.

Here's to the next adventure. 🎉
