The energy was exactly where it needed to be.

Seasoning Festival 2025… where to even start. First thing to make absolutely clear is that these events are a beautiful, collective achievement built on a delicate foundation of volunteer labour, favours, art and music.

Whilst I’ve been working on this since August 2024, after the decision was made to push ahead with Seasoning, the sheer amount of work from dear friends and family that made event possible was almost boundless - so for that I need to say thank you!

Again and again with Seasoning events, we’re surprised by the new mix of folks from different backgrounds that come out to join the revelry and this was no exception - so many of you joined us from far and wide to build a bit of that special Stroud magic that has become a hallmark of our dancefloors - from Liverpool, Bristol, Brighton, York, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and beyond… if you made the trip… thank you.

This year felt like the most accomplished yet, with the clear marker being our outdoor festival stage - where I must say specific thanks to everyone that helped us clear the area and the family at @studio18stroud clear generations of rubbish from the earth and fill it with organic woodchips and hay bales, surround it with art lights and - crucially - fill it with fantastic sound and music to build a great outdoor dance area.

As always there’s so much more to say - so many fantastic sets and meetings that happened over the day - but let’s just say this. We will certainly be back next year, this is just the beginning and thank you for placing your trust and energy with us to continue building these experiences in frankly overwhelmingly unlikely conditions.

That last note must underscore that this year would not have been possible without the crucial support of the @prsfoundation Early Career Promoter Fund - which allowed us to break even on a small, grassroots event with a world class progrsmme, audio and production right here… in bloody Stroud!

Big love - signing off for the summer after a cracking event at @theloveinnbristol and we’ll catch you soon 🫶🫶🫶
