Thank you for the love on "Tough" so far. From having you sing loud and proud that you've had enough Saturday night to the wonderful messages you've sent, thank you. You're heard and I'm so grateful. I couldn't do this without the help of some friends. Show them some love.

This song was a whirlwind to make, but I am so so happy to have it out in the world for you.

Take care and feel something better.

LONG VIDEO + CAPTION

The Office of the Levite.

Ever since I was younger, people told me I was supposed to preach and be a pastor and truthfully, I didn’t get it. I admired my father and the way that he lead the churches that were assigned to him, but I didn’t want that life. I think that is the problem though. When we see people who sing or preach the word or serve well, we automatically say go be a Church Pastor. I don’t think that is always the call.

Over the last 5 years, I have been blessed to exist, grow and be loved on the Hilltop in Alberta, Canada. As a student, I cried, I learned and I was seen. I was given the freedom to figure it out in an environment that wasn’t filled with pressure, instead it was filled with presence. The Hilltop is where I grew up and chose to love God in a way that was different than what I was raised in.

Over the last 2 years, for SOME CRAZY REASON, I was trusted with the academic and spiritual growth of THE most amazing teenagers I have ever met. Now you may say “yea yea every Pastor loves their students” blah blah blah. No. My kiddos at PAA are DIFFERENT. How? They loved me completely as I was. I started my first year of ministry and teaching with heavy grief. I didn’t know how to hold space for others or teach the gospel, when I was so lost and confused. But these kids mannnnn. They hugged me. They encouraged me. They loved me. They supported me. They forgave me. The pastored me. They taught me.

(Continued in the comments … I told you it was a long one)
