These three mindset shifts stood out for me during the course of my day and whilst at BBY Conference:

1. You're allowed to unapologetically evolve from old versions of yourself.
2. Build with the end in view....i.e. Are you building for 5 years, or 2-3 generations ahead? That answer shapes every structure and every choice you make today.
3. If you want to go far, go with people who have gone far — people who see far.

Mondays have become very reflective for me.

Over the last four weeks, I’ve received loads of prayers and scriptures around parenting and business growth.

And I’ve found myself holding back a little.

Perhaps because I unconsciously thought everything I shared here had to be about work but lately, my mind keeps going back to 2009 — when real adult life truly began for me as a young woman.

And since I am already saving memories, thoughts, lessons and experiences here for posterity, I might as well stop holding back.

There are things I’ve lived through that have shaped the woman, mother, business owner and believer I am today.

There are lessons I’m still learning.
There are scriptures that have found me at very specific seasons.
There are prayers I’ve prayed that I can now look back on and see differently.

So, I’m opening this part of the story too.

No performance.
No trying to make every thought fit neatly into “business content.”

Just reflections from a woman who has lived, learned, stumbled, grown, prayed, built, parented and continues to discover God in all of it.

So…
Happy Monday. 🤍

I’m looking forward to more scriptures, more prayers, more reflections — and perhaps a little more of the story I’ve been holding back.

This is not to say I'm against AI. I use it every day in my business. But there's a difference between using a tool for assistance and outsourcing your thinking to it.

We grew up thinking through a problem before we understood it. We had to sit with confusion long enough for clarity to actually form — because there was no shortcut. That struggle wasn't wasted time. It was how critical thinking got built.

AI was designed to assist thinking, not replace it but a lot of Gen Z and Gen Alpha are quietly sliding from assistance into dependence — asking AI to think for them, not just help them think faster. And that's not a small shift. It's the difference between building a skill and outsourcing it before it ever forms.

Call it conservative if you want but I'd rather raise children who can think without a tool than children who can't think without one.

Some things aren't outdated. They're foundational. And critical thinking is one of them.

Our parents didn't just deliver a generation — they delivered on God's plan to raise the next one. So now it's our turn. Millennials must deliver on God's plan for Gen Alpha and Gen Beta.

I'm not guessing on this — I'm researching, I'm still researching. But some things don't change. The rod of correction. The voice of correction. The structure of correction. These don't change. The push, the drive — we cannot relent on our children. Left on their own, they'll choose the screen over everything else. But once you're equipped with the right information, your capacity as a parent expands. You start to see what to do, not just react.

That's part of why I'm making this post.
As we close out this holiday and step into a new season — don't relent on your children. Don't agree to let them fail. Because one failed generation becomes a burden for the next. One child raised without correction can affect an entire generation.

So we raise them — resting in the way of the Lord, in character, in learning, in skill.
