Doughnut Therapy made easy 😌 🍩

@parlordoughnuts is known for their unique layered doughnuts that are crisp on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside. They offer over 20 different flavors, even gluten-free and vegan options, and they make them in small batches so they're always fresh!

For October, we tried a few of their new seasonal flavors:

the limited time flavors in August included dirt pudding, breakfast club French toast, and peanut butter & jelly. can't wait to go back and try more 🥰

the savory ones were also soooo good!!! we tried chicken buffalo and pepperoni 🍕

Perfect morning treat before a whole day of surfing @supergirlpro 🍩☀️

A full day of sips, stops, and spontaneous detours 🍹🌴

We started the morning with a stroll to @osideparlor for lattes + fresh-made donuts to kick things off ☕️ Tyler went with raspberry pistachio, I got French toast… not overly sweet, and the texture was giving monkey bread. Obsessed.

We strolled down Historic Hwy 101 and popped into a couple of breweries so Tyler could grab some flights 🍻
First stop: @greencheekbeeroceanside I loved the spacious layout and rooftop peekaboo ocean views.

Next up: @southobrewingco had a fun vibe, uniquely named beers with cool art work labels, and a few pinball machines to keep things interesting.

After turning a “quick walk” into a full adventure 😆 we earned lunch at @tannersprimeburgers 🍔 Crisp Coke, cold beer, loaded fries… and a burger that absolutely melted in your mouth.

On the way back, we stopped at @crackheadsoside (a container bar!) and were pleasantly surprised — great staff, fun outdoor vibe, and the mango margarita stole the show 🍹

Golden hour called for @rooftopbaroside 🌅 Pro tip: make a reservation — it’s busy for a reason. I had the TERRAMAR (vodka, passion fruit, house grenadine, lemon), and Tyler kept it classic with a bourbon on the rocks. The views + boujee vibes = worth the wait.

We ended the night at @cococabanaoside with the best bird’s-eye view of the night market ✨ I had the Shanghai Sally (vodka, plum sake, lychee, lemon, agave, butterfly pea bitters), and Tyler had the Miami Pound Machine (reposado tequila, passion fruit, orgeat, lime, saffron bitters, black rum float).

10/10 kind of day 🙌

I’m always on the hunt for places worth carving time out for and this local donut shop is one I can’t stop coming back to.

@parlordoughnuts: Their layered doughnuts are next-level (crispy on the outside, soft inside) and the coffee is *actually* amazing, not just an afterthought. Go for one of the specialty doughnuts (they rotate flavors) and pair it with an iced latte.

PRO TIP: pop in earlier to get the best flavor selection before they sell out. (The lemon is my favorite!)

We called this vibrant little beach town home for 6 months while living in our truck camper, Big Red 🚚, and it stole our hearts.

Oceanside has that rare mix of classic California surf culture, walkable streets, incredible food, and genuinely kind people. It’s pretty hard not to smile here!

A few of our favorite stops:

✔️ Walk the iconic Oceanside Boardwalk
✔️ Visit the Pier + historic Robert’s Cottages (note: the Pier itself isn’t pup-friendly 🐾)
✔️ Grab a treat at @parlordoughnuts
✔️ Snap a photo at the famous Top Gun House ✈️
✔️ Make it a taco night 🌮 There are so many good spots, but @letstaco_ is one of San Diego’s best

🚆 You don’t even need a car! Take the Coaster from Downtown San Diego or Old Town and make a whole beach day out of it with @gonctd

🌈 Happy Pride!! One of the things we loved most about Oceanside was the sense of community. A place where everyone is welcome makes exploring even sweeter 🤍

What a great week here in Oceanside… and it gets even better with the Sunday photo dump!!!! 📸

We had soooo much sun this week in California and I might just be getting a few shades darker 😎 but no beach days would be complete without friends - and we had a few visiting me and Mav this week 😁

Runs, day trips to San Diego, beach, water, sun, and WAY too much coffee - couldn’t have wished for a better week. This time next week, I’ll be in a new city - but we’ll leave that for next Sunday 😜
