🏒💛🎗 Stick It to Cancer Night 🎗💛🏒

What a special night celebrating cancer warriors and honoring their resiliency, strength, and bravery. Kai and his fellow brain tumor warrior friend Eric were among those recognized, and we were so grateful to be part of such a meaningful evening.

Kai was honored to be there cheering on our local hockey team, the Oceanside Shock, alongside so many incredible warriors and families. Nights like these remind us how powerful it is when a community comes together to support those fighting cancer.

A huge thank you to Triumph Together for organizing this special recognition, and to everyone at Oceanside Shock and Frontwave Arena for showing so much love and support to cancer warriors and their families. These are the moments that remind us we don't have to walk this journey alone.

First Oceanside Shock game in the books 🏒

Front row against the glass, Cardiff crack nachos in hand, a jellyfish mascot absolutely stealing the show, and three Shock goals to lose our voices over. The 6-3 final stung a little, but Kevin and I had the best night.

If you haven’t caught a game at Frontwave Arena yet, go. Local hockey, Cardiff crack nachos, and a mascot with tentacles. What’s not to love?

We’ll be back for the win. Who’s coming with us next time?

Yesterday was Stick it to Cancer night at Frontwave Arena. Frank the team’s equipment manager had a very special guest read out the starting lineup. His mom has been fighting cancer since 2018 and she took the honors to read out the starting lineup. #fightcancer #hockeyfightscancer #oceansideshock #fphl #stickittocancer

Weekend cravings? Hockey and Mediterranean food. We went and got our fix! 🥙🏒🥅🚨

Caught our local FPHL team, Oceanside Shock, for their Stick It to Cancer Night! 💜

Frontwave Arena is a fantastic new venue with a great atmosphere! Definitely looking forward to more games! 🏒🤘🔥

For Mommy and all those we’ve lost, Momma O and every survivor, and everyone still fighting. We honor your courage, celebrate your strength, and remember those forever in our hearts. 💜🙏❤️

What an amazing way to recognize the Deaf and Hard of Hearing! 🏒 🤟🏻 🇺🇸

I had the honor of interpreting the national anthem in American Sign Language (ASL) for San Diego’s newest hockey team; the San Diego Shock! Providing an ASL interpreter makes a shared pregame tradition more accessible to fans who use ASL.

I’m so grateful to be a part of this moment and to continue to help create more opportunities for ASL access in sports! As I interpret for the entirety of San Diego Shock’s season, this experience is about more than the few minutes before the puck is dropped. It’s about belonging—recognizing Deaf and hard-of-hearing fans as part of the crowd, the excitement, and the sports community.

Here’s to keeping the game accessible for ASL users and beyond! 🤟🏻

Let’s go San Diego Shock! ⚡️ 🪼
