#getinvolved 🗳️ Congress has the power to create/change laws in the United States • Contact your representatives to have your voice heard and find out what’s going on • Visit www.HOUSE.GOV

Myth about voting: “I’m not eligible to vote because I’m a convicted felon.”

Convicted felons who have completed their prison or jail time are eligible to vote in Ohio.

Key Rules for Voting Eligibility in Ohio:

* Incarceration Status: A felony conviction only strips an individual of their voting rights while they are currently incarcerated in a jail or prison.

* Probation, Parole, and House Arrest: Individuals who are out of prison and on probation, parole, or participating in community control are legally eligible to vote.

* Re-Registration Requirement: Voting rights are restored immediately upon release from prison or jail, but individuals must re-register to vote before they can cast a ballot, as previous registrations are typically canceled.

* Exceptions: The primary exception is for individuals convicted of a felony related to violations of election laws, which can result in permanent disenfranchisement.

To check registration status or submit a new registration, individuals can visit the Ohio Secretary of State Voter Registration Portal.

✨ In Cuyahoga County visit the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections at www.BOE.CUYAHOGACOUNTY.GOV • Register to vote, check your registration (especially if you have moved), find your voting location (a lot of schools have closed and locations have changed), check when early voting begins, request mail-in ballots, registration and voting deadlines and more.

Oh yeah! My bad. Meant to post my 2nd-term election to the #ccdp as a Central Committee and Executive Committee member. Basically, these committees decide which political candidates receive Democratic endorsement of their candidacy, we elect/appoint party members to open leadership seats for the party and Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Board of Directors and other positions🙏🇺🇸🙏

✨💍✨ Core Characteristics for a Successful Partnership:
• Look for traits that foster resilience and growth rather than just temporary attraction
• Shared Core Values: your fundamental views on life—such as financial management, approach to family, ethics, and long-term life goals—should be largely aligned
• Effective Communication: A partner who can listen actively and express their own needs without becoming defensive or aggressive is essential
• Emotional Maturity and Regulation: Someone who takes responsibility for their actions, can apologize sincerely, and manages stress in a healthy way
• Mutual Respect and Support: Both individuals feel like equal teammates supporting each other’s personal ambitions, celebrating one another’s successes, and showing kindness even when things are difficult
• Trust and Reliability: Consistency and loyalty allows both individuals to be vulnerable and authentic
•
Reasons People Choose Marriage:
• Public Commitment: For many, the act of marriage serves as a declaration of intent to face life’s challenges as a unified team.
• Stability and Security: It can provide a framework for building a shared life, including legal protections, financial interconnectedness, and a stable environment for children, if that is part of the plan.
• Deepened Bond: Many couples find that the symbolic and social nature of marriage deepens their emotional investment in the success of the relationship.
•
Considerations Before Marrying:
• Readiness: Are you and your partner ready to prioritize the “we” over the “I” without losing your individual identities?
• Purpose: Are you marrying because of a genuine desire to build a life together, or due to external pressures like social expectations, timelines, or financial necessity?
• Preparation: Premarital counseling is highly recommended for many couples.
• Reality: Look at the relationship from the lens of reality and not potentiality
