One more No. 85 appreciation post because we love it so much. This ceramic piece by Jana Osterman is absolutely beautiful. The black crawling glaze adds unbelievable texture to the pleasantly plump form. The perfectly balanced combination of colour, texture and form makes this artwork the focal point of any room, it really anchors a space. Our eyes just love it!

We first came across Jana's work at the artist project in 2023. We were immediately drawn to it because her forms were so creative and her textures and glazes were so appealing. Her pieces evoked memories of characters like the Barbapapas and reminded us of our imaginative childhoods and all that is good in the world. The minimalist colour palette is right up our alley, too! Scroll through to see pics of the pieces we first fell in love with.

So when we decided to celebrate the new season, new energy, and all that is good, we knew Jana was an artist to include in the Growth/Rebirth Collection. Fast-forward three years and we still love her work; it's timeless. 🖤

This unique, contemporary sculpture of ceramic hand-built stoneware (10" high x 11.5" wide x 11.5" deep) is available until the end of the week on our website: opusartprojects.com/collections
Collect it now before it gets away!

Studio visits are fun-times for art consultants! We get to see the whole view that inspires an artist's practice; the creation space and the surrounding environment, plus we get to gush about art with fellow art lovers.

A few weeks back we took a ride out to Prince Edward County to catch up with Jana Osterman and see where she makes her magic. She creates in the most adorable studio, in the most natural setting. The influence of her environment on her practice was obvious. The textures on organic forms, natural palettes, and mediums, all illustrated how closely the artwork is tied to the artist's lifestyle in the woods. Her studio is the epitome of romantic idealization of an artist's life, and gives her work an overabundance of authenticity; so delightful!

Jana's work can be found in our Spring Collection, Growth/Rebirth (visit www.opusartprojects.com/collections to purchase), and also in the charming village of Elora, in the Group Exhibition: ‘ReWild’ from May 21 – July 10, 2026 at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Woven light sculpture...finally installed and captured. Last night was the first time I saw it in the dark in it's home and it was a beautiful surprise, unexpected shadows all throughout...what a pleasure to build and honoured to be trusted...

Are we ready for warmth and light and beauty?!! Yeeeessss!

Spring is here, offering us a collective rebirth from winter, and hopefully, also from tumultuous world events. Things are starting to bloom. Everything is greening, colour is increasing. Let's celebrate all the beauty. 💐

Opus Art Collective was created to give art lovers the opportunity to take home artworks from artists whose work we love, but typically experience in large projects. Opus Art Projects places large-scale beauties in grand spaces. We want you, friends, our design and art lovers, to be able to have this grand art in your space, so we're collaborating with artists to create artworks at a more attainable scale. Great art for all!

The Growth/Rebirth collection is inspired by the renewed energy spring brings. It's a buzz with multiple artists, different interpretations of a vessel, and varying mediums and practices. Super exciting! The use of plants symbolizes growth and renewal; specifically a selection of succulents conveying soft resilience.

Five artists each created just one special piece for this collection. We're kicking off with Jana Osterman's No. 85. Jana is a beautiful person who created a gorgeous piece for this collection. It perfectly balances form, colour and texture. The glazing is to die for! 😱 We invite you to read more about Jana on our website.

We've got a sweet piece by Gillian Toliver coming up next. 🤗

P.s. Happy Mother's day to all! 🤗

We're growing at Opus. We're learning, we're branching out, we're breathing in the good spring energy and, after the longest wintery winter, we want to share all the good vibes and connection we're feeling from our collective rebirth.

To celebrate, we have a treat for you! Opus Art Collective has collaborated with five of our favourite art-crush artists for our spring collection: Growth/Rebirth. Each artist has created one unique piece for this collection. Just one. And there's a twist...

Big reveal coming Friday, stay tuned! 🌱
