Bts. The hands of an artist

The Millennial Lotería team is growing! It’s been hard to balance work, social, creative, business meetings, and life in general, so I’m excited for all the design projects Millennial Lotería will now be able to handle with the help of Gera, Charly, Perla, and Intern Alex (btw Alex is still not back from Coachella…) #LatinoGang 🇬🇹 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

Some songs tell a story, but others are a story on their own. Producing this track for @hologramrty took me on a journey to collaborate and receive feedback from some of the most talented producers and engineers I've ever met. It started 2017 with @lain_producer and I playing around making a little 8 bar loop. Later that week, Marty came into the studio. I played the idea for her; she felt a connection with the beat, next day, Marty sent me a full demo of the song. She had created lyrics and melodies and already had a complete vision of the track. She said, let's keep it simple! A couple weeks later, I played the track to my good friend @peterkurczaba who provided us with some great ideas on cutting out specific repeated phrases and giving the lyrics more space to breathe. I traveled to Mexico and brought the track to @jose_delaparra - Jose is just on another level when it comes to music; he laid down some great guitar parts and additional layers to the production bringing a whole new vibe and energy. After I had the opportunity to travel to France and attend @mixwiththemasters with @emilehaynie , I played him the track and received some amazing feedback and ideas - the cherry on the cake! After my trip in Europe and spending a week @studioslafabrique surrounded by some of the most outstanding engineers and producers from all over the world, I returned to LA full of inspiration. Marty and I bounced our last ideas around and did some last-minute tweaks and recordings. If I’m not going to mix a track, there is only one other person in the world that I’ll trust with this @pablo_the_producer Pablo is passionate and professional; I don’t know any other mixer as dedicated to his craft as he is, his mixing style comes from the heart, listen to how he mixed the record, or better said, feel how he mixed the record. The master was done by @gavin_lurssen @lurssen_mastering (we needed the legendary touch to finish this off). Making this record not only made me grow as a producer, it somehow changed my life, and I am grateful and forever thankful to everyone who supported me and gave a few minutes of their time to bring this beautiful song to life.
