This past weekend, our own Tim Williams served as a judge all day Saturday and Sunday at the University of Oregon's David B. Frohnmayer Invitational mock trial competition, where he judged no less than four trials. Here are his thoughts on that experience:

"I couldn't have been prouder of these young folks in their first competition of the season. They were incredibly prepared, presented very well, and had a deep understanding of their material and trial mechanics. It was an amazing job by all, especially considering that they are undergrads who haven't started law school, have no real courtroom experience, and many of the teams don't have an attorney coach to help them refine their process. It's going to be an amazing competition year for all of these teams, and I want to thank the University of Portland, Reed College, Oregon State University and the University of Oregon for participating and allowing me to judge your fine students. Amazingly, most did a better job than some actual lawyers I've tried cases against. The future of Oregon jurisprudence is bright!"
