„It’s not a Phase…it’s a feeling“ Part.3
Slipknot - Iowa

Nils says „ Iowa – an album doesn’t get any more aggressive than this.
Absolutely brutal drumming by Joey Jordison (the guy who inspired me to make music) and the most brutal vocals Corey Taylor has ever sung.

Over the years, there hasn’t been a more brutal album for me—every song is a hit!

Rest in Peace, Joey—the man who influenced an entire generation of musicians and brought the blast beat into the mainstream!“

Simon says „ A gray, cold summer… no love… no refuge… just pure despair.

For me, Slipknot’s “Iowa” was a game-changer when it came to their musical direction and its evolution.

An album that still resonates with me today and whose brutality is unmatched“

The opening sample in Slipknot’s (sic) “Here comes the pain”, comes from a 1993 film Carlito’s way, shouted by Al Pacino.

It is the band’s one of the most iconic and recognizable intros from their 1999 self-titled debut album.
