Some weekends touch every dimension of life that matters most. This was one of them. ❤️

Friday, bringing Allen back to Life Time and watching two packed classes come alive with pure joy. Saturday, dancing alongside incredible FitPros and friends to support breast cancer research through a fundraiser organized by my dear friend Carol, a breast cancer survivor. Sunday, becoming the student myself, learning a little Paso Doble from Allen. And through it all, sharing these experiences with Shawn and people I cherish.

What I love most about movement is that the magic isn’t always about who’s moving. Sometimes you’re creating the environment, sometimes you’re inspiring others to move, and sometimes you’re the student. Every role brings people together, builds friendships, strengthens communities, and creates memories that last far beyond the music.

And that’s a wrap on a weekend I’m nowhere near finished absorbing. It may take weeks or months to fully appreciate all its magic. Some moments are simply too meaningful to unpack all at once. ❤️

I was one of the first instructors to launch STRONG in Pennsylvania —opening the format at King of Prussia Life Time and then bringing it to Ardmore Life Time eight years ago.

I’ve always said your first STRONG class is class #9.

Because this format asks for something more valuable than being “good” at it: repetition. You learn to hear the music, understand the movement, meet yourself where you are and slowly close the gap between your speed and the music’s speed—without judgment and with a whole lot of humility.

And I’m still doing exactly that. Sometime alone, practicing, counting beats, working through transitions and figuring out how to cue it better. Eight years later, I’m still learning too.

But the greatest thing STRONG built was never the moves. It built a community that SHOWS UP. Sundays. Summers. Holidays. Christmas. They notice when someone is missing. They encourage each other. They struggle together and get stronger together.

We don’t learn through perfection. We learn through repetition—and there is something incredibly powerful about doing that alongside other humans.

Also, STRONG has successfully prevented me from making many terrible Saturday-night decisions because I know exactly what Sunday morning requires. 😂

Eight years later, I’m still grateful to teach it, still learning how to teach it better, and incredibly proud of the people who keep showing up.

Powerful women are not always loud about what they carried.

Some are raising babies. Some are missing their mothers. Some are caring for everyone else. Some are rebuilding quietly. Some are working 9 to 5, then somehow still finding the strength to pour into the people around them.

And somehow, so many of them make it look effortless.

Movement has been an escape, a celebration, a lifeline, and for many of us, a survival mechanism. It is where we remember we are still here. Still strong. Still allowed to feel joy.

So yes, today is Mother’s Day. I am endlessly lucky to be a mom. But I also want to celebrate every powerful woman today — mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, caregivers, fighters, survivors, and the women still becoming.

You are worthy of being celebrated.

And if movement is where you come back to yourself, may be I get to be lucky enough to meet you in one of my classes .

This one feels personal… because it is.

Too Much.

At some point, I realized—what feels like “too much” to some…
is exactly what makes others feel something.

The energy.
The style.
The way I move.
The way I show up fully, without editing the edges.

I tried dimming myself … and guess what ? Self rejection hurts the most . May be it’s all by design…

So here’s the truth I’ve learned (and keep learning):
you don’t shrink to fit—
you align with people who can actually see you.

Because the right room?
The right people?
They won’t ask you to be less.

They’ll match you.
Rise with you.
Or simply stand there smiling, thinking—
“I get it. And we belong together. “

This dance started in my classes — taught, repeated, lived. When life got heavy, music and the love from those rooms kept me standing. They showed me what true love felt like — until I found Shawn. The day before my wedding in Slovakia I danced with the people who’d watched me fight and never left. It wasn’t just a routine — it was proof: don’t quit. And yes — we shut up and danced. ✨And cried, laughed and loved until we couldn’t stay awake anymore !

I’ve been known to forget birthdays — including my own. Not because they’re unimportant, but because I’ve always believed the real celebration lives in the quiet, unscheduled moments that don’t wait for candles to mean something.

But August 1st is different. Shawn turned 58 — five years since the first symptoms of ALS appeared. I don’t know if it’s love, mindset, or divine intervention — most likely all of it — but somehow, he continues to face this disease with resilience, grace, humor, and an unshakable determination that humbles me daily.

We were surrounded by people who continue to show up in ways that defy the cultural script around illness — who are not merely present, but profoundly engaged. They are unfazed by the physical changes, untouched by discomfort, and unflinching in their loyalty. In a world that often retreats from what it doesn’t understand, their presence is not just rare — it’s a quiet kind of miracle, the kind love writes when no one’s watching. And while we honored a birthday, what we were truly celebrating was the extraordinary privilege of being alive.

Not for the faint of heart—but very much for the full of love.
This is a glimpse into something I never imagined I’d be doing: flushing my husband’s port. He doesn’t even use it for medication anymore (he takes that orally now), but we still maintain it—because five years after his ALS diagnosis, we’re still here. Still laughing. Still living. Still fighting.

I’ve learned to do a lot of things I never thought I could. But the truth is, he’s the strong one. His ability to cope, to be present, to joke (even when I’m mid-access and he pretends he’s getting shocked—yes, that happened in this video and YES he got me good), is beyond inspiring.

ALS doesn’t stop him from being funny, from being the rock in our lives, or from driving me a little crazy in the best way possible.
And honestly? I believe love is our superpower. It’s how we’ve beat the odds for five years and counting.

Watch this one to the end. It’s real, it’s raw, it’s a little ridiculous—and it’s all heart.

Glad we’re getting closer! Here’s the refined version with sharper language and a more elevated tone — no cheese, just energy:

STRONG Hit Pop-Up Alert!
King of Prussia, we’re back where it all began — and we’re bringing the 🔥.

After 5 years away, I’m returning to Lifetime KOP this Saturday, April 12 at 11 AM for a STRONG Hit Pop-Up that hits different — power, precision, and pure adrenaline. Ardmore’s finest are rolling with me, and yes, we’re coming in loud. This is not a drill… but your legs might think otherwise.

Spots are limited. Don’t just scroll past it — be in it.

Another Trip to Boston – Another Step in This Fight

Back in Boston for another check-up, another round of tests, another reminder of just how much strength and dignity Shawn brings to this fight. ALS is unrelenting, but so is he. He keeps showing up, keeps pushing forward, keeps living with everything he has.

And we’re not doing this alone. This journey is shaped by the people who surround us—the ones who show up, who lift us up, who remind us that even in the hardest moments, we are never alone. The power of love, support, and simply being there is everything.

We don’t know what’s ahead, but we believe in progress. In new treatments. In the possibility of something better. And most of all, in the strength of the people we’re lucky enough to have in our corner.

With full hearts, we keep going.
