Today marks one year of being an OTF coach! What a blessing it is to be so passionate and love what I do.

Thank you to everyone that has trusted, booked class, returned, and continues to put in the work day in and out with me. Cheers to more time learning, growing, running and walking faster, and lifting heavier. 💪🏃🏽‍♀️🧡

So, let’s talk about power walking! 🚶🏾‍♀️⚡️

Oftentimes, when power walking is a part of the tread block, runners and joggers will roll their eyes because they think it robs them of a good workout. 🤦🏽‍♀️

This is meant to show you that NOPE, power walking is actually a great way to strengthen the muscle groups that help you become a more efficient and faster runner! 🏃🏽‍♀️💨 ONLY if we power walk the right way, otherwise we look like The Walking Dead crew on the treads. 🧟‍♀️

Here’s a few simple visual cues to make you the most powerful walker in class!

-proud chest because you’re a queen (or king) 🤭
-elbows bent at 90 degrees; HUGE factor in being able to get that heart rate up and a way to increase your cadence (steps per minute)💪
-ribs stacked over hips to lightly brace your core and maintain a neutral spine! 🩻
-check your stride; proper position is foot under hip to prevent over-striding and strain on your quads🦵

Keep all these in mind the next time you feel like jazzing up your cardio choice in class and happy strutting! 💃🏽

Today I wrapped up my first partial year of coaching. 🥹 What a year you’ve been 2025! Since August, I’ve gotten 266 classes under my belt at 3 different studios, many smiles and welcome greetings were given, countless amounts of wipes were passed out, and most importantly, an abundance of meaningful connections and milestones were made with new and old members alike. 🧡 Every day, I become more grateful to be a part of this journey with you all and can’t wait to see how much both you and I grow in 2026! Here’s to being 1% better each and every day. 🙏

Time to break the ice! I’m Kimi and this will be my fitness and health related page for my clients and (maybe) myself. 🕺🥳 Helping others is the biggest passion and drive for living that I have felt called to, and the science behind exercise and mental health are two of my favorite topics to nerd out on. What better way to combine the two than to become a personal trainer at the gym that has had the biggest impact on my personal and professional growth? After studying and learning for two years, I passed my CPT test through NASM in June. As of this month, I’m now an OTF coach and am SO excited to continue to expand my knowledge on exercise science, biomechanics, and sports psychology, as well as work and be in community with a number of members with diverse backgrounds and stories to share. 🧡 Members- Please let me know how I can be your biggest supporter in the studio and make you feel seen and cared for!
