It’s Friday and we are just 1️⃣ week away from starting our season at @solemnoathbeer. If you’re not registered for that one, head to breweryrunningseries.com/illinois to register as space is limited.

Not free for that? No problem. We have 20 events this year, including 2 in May at @steepravinebrewingco and @monochromebrew

No matter what event you do, you get a free beer from the brewery, a BRS swag item, and awesome fun community vibes as you accomplish a delightful 5kish run that starts and ends the brewery. 💪

This year, we are thrilled to share our full season partnership with @orangetheory. At each of our events, we will have staff from one of their over 50 Chicagoland locations there to lead warm-ups, hype everyone all up, and yes, raffle off some SWEET prizes and giveaways. 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Orange Theory Fitness is the perfect partner to Brewery Running Series. Like us, they believe fitness is for everyone and is more fun when we all do it together. We can’t wait to cheers with them all season long 🍻

The power of the internet: I met Mika through @andrewcolesmith Fat Tuesday series and we’ve become super supportive of each other’s @orangetheory journey, often comparing notes or encouraging each other to go to class.

Mika is in town for work, so of course we did what #otfsickos do, we burned together at @otfmillenniumpark in a very challenging workout with the always great @royflashgordon

During class out motivational quote was “There will be bacon afterwards! @loumitchells565 didn’t disappoint.

So many all outs 🔥

When given the opportunity to catch a workout before a full day of beauties, sign me up. This shows one style may take longer, one we may breeze through and another we might be waiting on for a hot second.

🌟 Allow your beauty providers to set the schedule, we know how to pick up speed. You just sit back, make sure as many of your ladies are ready to sit in the hot seat, and be flexible. As a bridesmaid, you may be on the schedule at 11:15 but SIL is running late for her 9:30, be prepared to go.

Perdí 100 libras.
Pero el verdadero logro fue interno.
Me gané a mí mismo.

I lost 100 pounds.
But the real win was internal.
I found myself.

Renacer no solo es físico.
Es seguir cuando antes te rendías.

Rebirth is not just physical.
It’s pushing forward when you used to give up.

One of those great Chicago on-the-verge-of-warm-weather empty-nester no-agenda Saturdays. It started with a workout downtown, then off condo hunting in Wrigleyville (no luck). Then it was thrift shops, coffee shops, good books, people watching and pizza in Evanston.
