Big thank you to everybody that stopped by our studio during open doors events!!! It was so special to share our tattoo home with so many friends and old and new clients. We are so grateful for everybody that came to say hi, buy a piece of our art or get a tattoo. It is amazing to see our community grow around this studio. Hopefully events like this will be a more regular occurance in the future.

Save the dates, we are hosting two days of open doors at Dwelling! We will be doing flash tattoos and selling our art and clothes. Participating artists are: 🗓️ 27th of September: @familiarshape , @tattoosbyclover , @sofijakamasi , @___a___m___la___ 🗓️ 5th of October: @other.memory , @tattoosbyclover , @alex__basler , @___a___m___la___ Event will be running from 10am-6pm on both days and flash pages are dropping a couple of days before! Everybody is welcomed to come, whether you wanna say hi, get the tattoo, buy our art, or check out the space. Flash tattoos will be booked in person on the day of the event, on first come first serve basis. We recommend coming in early to put your name on the lists. To help us not overcrowd the shop, please be ready to kill a few hours around the neighborhood while you are waiting for your appointment. If you haven’t visited us before, the shop is on the 4th floor at 1770 W Berteau Ave. We are so excited to host you soon! P.S. We are a no outdoor shoes shop. We have a bunch of slippers but feel free to bring your own if you wanna feel extra cozy. Thank you @alex__basler for making the poster for us 💐 . . #chicagotattooshops #chicagotattoo #chicagotattooartist

Dwelling Tattoo is five years old ☺️ I would just like to take a moment and appreciate this space and the people that have worked to make it possible. Every day I am at work, I have a moment where I look around at all the artists’ laughing with their clients, the art and flash on the walls, the sunset making the room glow- it makes me feel so fulfilled. Dwelling has grown into something beyond my expectations as we now house 10 resident artists and host guest tattooers from all over the world. And the best part is, we’re all friends. I get to work with my friends! It hasn’t always been simple - anyone who has dealt with the bureaucratic system while opening/moving a business knows what I’m talking about. But I’m delighted and soothed to say Dwelling is a completely self-sustaining space where we can work peacefully & cooperatively. We intend to celebrate Dwelling’s anniversary soon, but because our summer schedules are all over the place, we will likely have to postpone to the late summer or early fall. Stay tuned for those details! In the meantime - thank you to all my shop mates who make this easy for me by being great collaborators, and special thank you to @saraklaws.tattoo for sharing all five years with me at Dwelling, I’m so grateful for our friendship and am inspired by your creative thinking constantly. Love you all and looking forward to many more seasons of growth. 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍🌏 📸: @kennahynes
