It’s pouring in Berlin, and the timing feels just right for a little announcement, and a big word salad.

Most people who’ve been following me know me for playing techno, perhaps a touch of ambient.

What fewer know is that a significant part of my collection is house. For me, techno arrived first, but over the years, through digging, my environment and the people around me, house grew on me.

I’ve played house gigs here and there, but never dared to put anything online: no sets, no club recordings, nothing on socials. Looking back at this, I think the reasons were a mix of impostor syndrome and some unhelpful advice to “stick to techno.” In time, I realised keeping this entire side of my collection to myself and a few occasional gigs wasn’t serving anyone, and that had to change. I also believe you can’t truly understand techno without understanding the spirit of house, and vice versa, so why stick to one if you feel like doing both.

The techno I’ve been playing has always carried a jacking, funkier, soulful house energy anyway. Realising that felt like a quiet confirmation: a house head had been there all along. Over the past few months, a series of realisations like these settled in, and I decided I wouldn’t keep any part of my collection to myself anymore.

With that in mind, tomorrow, I am releasing my first house podcast for “The Other Side” (@otherside.it), a channel that’s hosted artists I deeply respect, Spencer Parker, Orlando Voorn, Rolando, and others. They also run the long‑standing Tech Clubbers series, showcasing techno.

This will also mark my first contribution to a podcast channel in over a year, after focusing on a run of self‑released mixes. It feels good to be contributing to the scene again, and I’m excited for what’s coming next ✨
