Acceleration, Redirected! Kyiv, 28-30 August 2026. Over the final weekend of August, we gathered artists, designers, researchers, technologists and emerging founders outside Kyiv for a two-day mini-accelerator for cultural first movers. Together we moved ideas towards prototypes, products and ventures. We also worked on the question of what should happen next for the emerging founder archetype that is operating at the intersection of subculture and emerging technology. The programme was led by @moon_emjoi for @restlesseggstudio, in close collaboration with @bognamk and @sonyakvasha / @baby___prod. Special guest @dalenaxtran joined @otherstuff_sam for a live @fuserstudio session, showing how Fuser's open, node-based canvas brings creative tools, models and ideas together across media and @bognamk traced the history and future of Eastern European technology, locating this cohort of cultural first movers within that trajectory. Shared throughout the programme was remarkable food, an amazing venue and conversations whilst stargazing. Thank you to everyone who travelled, brought work in progress, asked difficult questions, presented, cooked, hosted, photographed, organised and made the weekend so amazing :). The programme and collaboration will continue...Stay tuned for a public showing of the projects and products this November! Дякуємо. More soon. With: @ne_pop, @adult.xoma, @maksym_yudenko, Nastia Kolodka, @taya.out, @piescidelko, Patrick Markesano, @syvakos, @verona_gr, @mpalinchakphoto, Alex Veselkin and @_tsykes. And asked how artistic methods can become an institution to develop AI in ways that aren’t possible elsewhere or otherwise. DC Photo Dump: 1) the White House holiday reception was in the late afternoon so after a quick change we hustled to our friend @otherstuff_sam’s restaurant, @republiccantina for a little Tex Mex. Cheers!🍹 2) That’s us clinking fried crickets before doing the shots we were sent from the bar. 🦗 3) the old bay shrimp fajitas were the highlight of the meal but everything was delicious!! 🍤 4) After dinner we went to see some homies sing their folky heart’s out in @sweptawaymusical. 🛶 5) @johngallagherjunior it was so good to see you. Holler next time you’re in town ❤️ @adrian.blake.enscoe Keith loved working on Dickinson so much. It was lovely to finally meet you. I’ve heard amazing things. @starkweather I’ve never seen you in a project I didn’t love. So nice to chat with you and to hear you and Johnny sing together again. 6)I know I already posted a version of this photo but I need to say this one more time. @americanfictionmovie is so good and @erikaalexanderthegreat is so good in it. You hear that @mgmstudios!❤️❤️❤️ We had a very full 36 hours and loved every second of it. The biggest thanks to @amybortonomg and @jonozalay for taking good care of our babies! #tonightsbill #avettbrothers #dc #couplesgetaway
