Champagne Showers for the final stage of @capepioneer 🥂! The overnight rain blessed us with a TON of mud - but that didn't stop us from having a TON of fun out there 🐷💩.

In March I was given the news that stage racing longer than 3-4 days was off the cards for the rest of my career. With a stomach that simply wasn't strong enough to tolerate the intensity, time, and consecutive days of racing. The team opted for me to skip Sani2c to help me with my recovery - and allow time to build my engine up over the 2026 season. My homework was to focus on the 1 day events, work on my ability to perform under pressure, and build my strength back up from the inside - out.

Just to be able to FINISH an event longer than 3 days pain-free is a feeling I can't express. Relief? Disbelief? Truly understanding the power of rest & recovery? All of it.

The last time I had earned this pink jersey was in 2019! 🩷 It's been a long journey back up the ladder.

Whilst our global star @vera_looser was racing Worlds in Canada, I had the opportunity to super-sub into the A Team for Cape Pioneer Trek 🤩. It's a privilege to have such incredible teammates, and support staff who help us perform at our best every single day.

A massive thank you to the Cape Pioneer squad:
@theresaralph - Super souigner 💆🏻‍♀️
@africanbikemech - The friendliest Pro Bike Mechanic 🧰

@capepioneer Stage 1 delivered a stage where we rode up, up, UP! ⬆️ From Wilderness to Louvain, it was all about pacing well, getting in-sync, and having a solid first day out 🤝.

Things are heating up tomorrow where we start stage 2 going... You guessed it! UP!

Great to represent @efficientinsure @infinitiinsurance once again on the top step. To more solid days 🥂

A useful cycling upgrade does not need to be dramatic.

Sometimes it just removes a handful of small frustrations you have dealt with so many times that you stopped questioning them.

That is the point behind FlowWorx Valve.

Not more complexity.
A better answer to a problem riders already understand.

The year Noordhoek finally became home.
The year our cat decided laps were worth sitting on.
The year instants came and left.
The year we got a dog.
The year my hubby lifted me up after I got knocked down.
The year I won a bad ass bike race.
The year of dark, wet mornings.
The year of long open roads.
The year we choose to LIVE rather than miss JHB every day.
The year of the sauna.
The year of sunsets.
The year of craft breweries and brothers.
The year of new partnerships.

The year when things all finally started to click together.

We are where we've always wanted to be 🫶🏻

FlowWorx on race-winning bikes. 🔥

At the Ford Trailseeker finale in Wellington, Sam Sanders took the win while Sarah Maré finished 2nd and secured the 2026 Overall Series title and R100,000 prize purse.

Both racing with FlowWorx Valves.

High-volume airflow. Fast pressure adjustments. Zero clogging with sealant.

Engineered to perform when the racing gets serious. 🇿🇦

@race2thesea 🌊
An event that keeps bringing me back because I haven't quite cracked the code on how to breakthrough 😂🚀.

Absolutely loved the new start, Rusty Gate pass gives you that mountain top boost - with a downhill that allows the more technical riders to stay on the game 🤝. It was a pleasure to rejoin the diesel engines upfront.

Then came the big decision after I dropped off the pace. Do I sit up and wait for the group behind me? Or do I roll the dice and commit to a solo time trial?

I admit, I slowed down and waited for 2 min, then quickly realised I'm not about that life and would rather take the risk and leave it all out there 😂🥵.

Some years it works. Some years it doesn't. Needless to say the 100km solo time trial with a sprint for 4th 200m before the end totally ripped my legs apart and I was burnt toast on that finish line 🍞.

But I'd do it again. Why? Because if you don't goooo you won't knowwwwww 🚀.

One day I'll figure it out. For now I'll just keep rolling the dice and seeing how it lands up 160km later.

Happy to be racing on this machine of a gravel bike. The Crux is next level - it truly can do anything 🤩

Thank to the @efficientinsure @infinitiinsurance team for supporting me in another thrilling event. We were all on the edge of our seats - and eventually the door will open ✔️

Special mention to @_sam_lea_ for stepping in as super soigneur! You are such a natural. From Pre race sports massage to feedzone organisation. You have what it takes and I'm grateful for your "yes girl!" mentality 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Love this sport. I really, truly do.

What a spoil!! 🤩

The @p2_legacy ride was an absolute treat for this year's winter getaway 🥰. Since getting married last year, Spike & I still needed to celebrate and a Mini-Moon amongst the work & racing calendar was PERFECT!

Sunrises within the @kagga_kamma Nature Reserve were absolutely stunning. I never thought I'd find myself off the grid, watching bonfire 'tv', camping under the stars and loving being totally unplugged. This event is all about the experience, and we left with our cups full!

We got to mountain bike on @conradstoltz's newly built trails - which were so beautiful! He has such a great a eye for building trails that flow with in the environment, and make you go WOW around every turn ✨

We live in such a beautiful country 🇿🇦. There's so much more to explore! Glad we could add this to the memory bank 🫶🏻

The ride should not start with frustration.

When your tyre needs sealant, the process should be simple enough to keep you moving, not messy enough to delay the whole ride.

FlowWorx Valves are built to make tubeless maintenance feel easier, especially when all you want to do is top up and go.

Follow FlowWorx for simple setup advice, valve tips and better ways to keep your bike ride-ready.
