Where memories were made and traditions were sparked. ✨
These people fill my heart with joy.🫶🏼🤗

Yet… I almost backed out last minute.

It was going to rain…and I had fear that everyone was going to back out and we would be camping in the rain by ourselves. I felt like we were supposed to go, so I convinced myself to just pack and go and trust God that we would have a beautiful weekend regardless. We went out a day earlier than our friends… and as we were setting up camp our pop up camper lift cable snapped and the camper top came crashing down. We had to drive home that night (the kids were very sad).

Next morning Isaac and I bought a tent, some air mattresses, and the materials and tools needed to temporarily fix the camper so we could get it home, then drove back out to camp. We fixed the cable, set up our tent, and that night endured the wildest storm I have ever experienced in a tent ⛈️🏕️ ⛈️ . It was half terrifying and half exhilarating! We didn’t sleep well, but it was exciting, fun, and a little wet 😅.

The next day it was 80* and sunny ☀️, EVERYONE made it, and we had a BLAST for the next 2 days! The Lord is faithful in all the things. Push through, pray, and lean into the wisdom and faithfulness of the Lord. Show up for your life and trust that on the other side of all the obstacles is beauty, joy, and hope.

Another cliff, another @theolator for scale and another throwback to the summer of 2015. I had just bought my first good camera and went out to explore some of the wildest and greatest places I could have ever imaged. If you’ve been to horseshoe bend, you know that ‘great‘ describes this place quite literally, so luckily the man @ottohelberg let me borrow his wide angle lens for this shot. Good times, good times.

As we were driving the other day, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, this Lion appeared in the middle of the road! We did what most people would do, we immediately stopped, got out of the car, and shot him... multiple times... with our camera. #adventureswithkingleo
