The Grocery and Otto Resource Purple Label for Diemme capsule is now available again through a very limited restock.

Featuring the bold Collalto Hiking Boots in vivid red and the sleek Movida ’92 Sneakers, the release foregrounds research-driven design and a nuanced engagement with (sub)cultural references, exemplifying Otto Resource and Grocery’s ongoing exploration of physical, conceptually informed products.

Available online at grocerycopenhagen.com, diemme.com, and in-store at Grocery, Elmegade 21, Copenhagen, Denmark

As part of our first-ever ready-to-wear collection, “cAsual busineSS”, we’re proud to present a collaboration with Otto Resource Purple Label on two special pieces.

Our aim wasn’t just to expand the collection, but to draw on Otto Resource’s interpretive approach—one that doesn’t seek to reinvent an established design language so much as quietly recalibrate it through new textiles, treatments, and contextual cues. For this capsule, we also leaned into their long-standing fascination with British heritage, sport and casual culture, exploring how those influences could be reframed through the lens of Grocery.

Marking the eighth official Purple Label release, Otto Resource revisited the Mekaniker Jacket and Staff Shirt—both first revealed at this year’s Function Complex exhibition. The Mekaniker Jacket is rendered in polyurethane-coated cotton and features hallmarks of British heritage and casualwear: a slim, track-top–inspired fit and full-zip stand collar meet large expandable hand pockets, and unique dart placements. These details subtly link it to the broader “cAsual busineSS” line, where refinement and everyday utility share equal footing.

The Staff Shirt—renamed the Kontor Shirt for this collection—returns after its debut in bright yellow, now in a baby-blue and gray farmer’s check. The textile nods to the heritage, slubby references central to Grocery’s buying program and retail identity. Two oversized chest pockets reference surplus military garments and “old sport” utility, while quietly tipping a hat to Katharine Hamnett’s iconic cut-and-sew work.

What makes this collaboration compelling is its embrace of the “ordinary.” Each silhouette rewards closer observation, reflecting Otto Resource’s ongoing commitment to reinterpret familiar forms in fresh, unexpected ways—with a wink that says, “Yes, it’s been done before—but here’s your chance to live it again.”

The Grocery x Otto Resource Purple Label Mekaniker Jacket and Kontor Shirt are now exclusively online at grocerycopenhagen.com and in-store:
