POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

@aydojac Festival Circuit Lap 1, Fall 2026, Chelsea Film Festival

Close enough to Cannes, but in my hometown for an experience uniquely absurd: the false regal of an aqua violet 90s multiplex refitted with recliners so plush, you’ll nap—adjacent to sleepy BFPL no less. Proud to be a part of something fiercely French, across the Atlantic in NY, and resembling all the glitz of the wedding I’ll never have. CFF seems to recognize, foremost, that romance is what fuels our existence….all things in earnest, and properly, this aligns my story with theirs.

Thank you to Ingrid and Sonia and the festival workers for all the support you gave @aydojac. Thank you everyone that caught our film BIG and said nice things to me in the hallways and largely in passing. I’ve been quite hesitant to share this film because I’ve in all honesty lost my sense of what I made, so intentionally, when I first wrote it. Thank you especially to my friend Mike Patten who helped me to chisel out this version and finish our film.

When I watch @aydojac now it all feels so naive and hopeful and packed with whimsy in an effort to claim all the rejection I’ve felt over the past four years. I made exactly what I set out to make with such trust amongst the filmmakers and actors I assembled. I hope that more people will come to understand the kind of melancholy that fills me up through the patient observation I try to compose in my images.

Life is about seeing, after all… you don’t need to say much if you take the time to feel someone for who they are. Maybe these words are far too sentimental. But some of us want a little more than to be a quip you scroll past, or to feign some kind of borrowed prestige. Now I’m blabbering about nothing nothing nothing… thank you for everything, Chelsea.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported our second @talks.offline series of the year, featuring @nay_lilly at @publicassistants!

The episode will be aired on @dublab next year, first Tuesday of January, be on the lookout!

From 6AM car radio in Ürümqi to the soundtrack of a night out in Peckham, gtalks! radio gathers sound waves from every corner of the world and weaves them into global narratives. What we hear is who we are.

Now, the show is expanding into in-person events, bringing its frequencies into physical space to foster community, connection, and dialogue offline.

my eyes are filled with blue
blue, blue, and blue

Blue is
the summer,
the ocean,
the sky,
the tears.

Soft, Melancholic
a little salty to embrace

but I like the blue.

Recently, I chipped my front porcelain crown
it can been seen whenever I laugh

the little crack in my smile ：）
