Thank you to Dr. Matthew Reynolds and the @ou_hornstudio for hosting me this weekend! I had an amazing visit working with fantastic students and getting to perform some of my favorite pieces with some of my favorite people 🥹🙏 Getting to share the recital stage with my former student, Landon Geitzenauer, is officially in my top core moments of my teaching career.

Flashback Friday to this really fun performance of @composerjim’s Dodecafecta with the OU Wind Symphony and the OU Brass Faculty! The piece is a true tour de force and is 10 minutes of exciting and exhilarating music! The Wind Symphony sounded amazing and my colleagues played their tails off! Boomer!

This year's line-up was Sydney Worsham on the bassoon, @zoe.covey.smith with the horn, @cesarbc.oboist, @joshuachrisman.clarinet, and @eiadrim on the flute!

The NAfME chapter got to perform and teach lessons for the Sensory Friendly Concert Series on Tuesday! After the concerts, students were able to see and touch our instruments. We are so happy to have collaborated with Dr. Hand and Brandon Castro in this amazing project!

Tamino’s Aria from The Magic Flute has been stuck in my head for two years because it’s one the songs featured in my son’s “Story Orchestra” books.

Also thanks to pianist Chloe Lo for collaborating with me on this recital at Oklahoma University!

I thought performing it would help get it out of my head…it didn’t, but it was nice to play!

Tried something new to me in my recital last night - playing opera arias. This is a bit Rodolfo’s famous aria from Act I of La Boheme. Thanks to @ou_hornstudio for having me out!

(And honestly the orchestra horn part is mostly the same with the tenor anyway)
