After a week on the island, I flew back for 24 hours to host a pop up on Inkwell Beach. After crashing a JP Morgan founders dinner and a new friend blind date, I randomly bump into my beauty founder crush @ouidoux Maya Smith. She was kind with her words. Generous with her time. And even more gorgeous in person.

This was so surreal. @ilovethedoux was the first foam i ever used on my natural hair, and I had just integrated theor products into our salon pop-up a week before.

I love The Doux and Maya's marketing and educational genius. They just launched on tiktok shop, make sure you go & support.

All because this angel @elisebrrown_ made sure I wasn't homeless that we went out on a Wednesday night.

She's a sister. A friend. A blessing. And she's just as delusional as me.

Because of her, we met @marnely_murray . She's the greatest. She's knows the best food and the best businesses. She's honest. She's kind. And she doesn't even realize she's giving me a masterclass in marketing and showing up every day. FOLLOW her and support MV businesses.

Because of her, THEE @missjulee tried Everyday Hair products and called them beautiful inside AND out! Her opinion is the only one that matters ... hey, I don't make the reals IJS.

That night was the affirmation I needed to keep going, take bigger risk, liquidate my retirement, go harder, trust God deeper.

This is SUCH a versatile foam/mousse. I love it to rake through and style on wash days, it is perfect for redefining dry or wonky curls and is even perfect for helping smooth down the hair for a sleep half up half down hairstyle! I love this look, perfect for day 2 or 3 hair ☺️

Want hair that stays silky no matter the season or weather? It’s all in the prep!

For these results we cleansed with Breakdown by @ouidoux, followed with Hydrate by @pureology, then went in with a steam treatment using the Vital Nutrition Mask by @keunehaircosmetics for that extra hydration + softness.

For styling, obviously I had to pull out my fav silk press combo - Blow-Dry Spray + Thermal Spray 20 from @kenraprofessional 🤌🏾

But truthfully, a good silk press isn’t about having the “right” products or the most expensive tools - it’s about technique.

A thorough, proper blow-dry is an absolute MUST. The smoother and more stretched the hair is before you ever pick up the flat iron, the less work the flat iron has to do. That means fewer passes, less unnecessary heat, and a smoother, longer-lasting finish.

The products help, but technique will always do the heavy lifting. ✨
