The Port Orange spots locals don’t really want to share…

but I’m leaking them anyway. 👀

A few honorable mentions worth adding to your list:

☕ Cinnamon Tree Café
For fueling your day, romanticizing your life, and peacefully minding your business.

🍦 Neighbor’s Ice Cream Parlor
Because sometimes the only correct answer is ice cream, especially after dinner, after the beach, or after pretending you weren’t going to get dessert.

🍝 Don Giovanni’s
Tucked into Port Orange, because sometimes you just need pasta that understands you.

💦 The Splash Pad at Riverwalk Park
Somehow never overly crowded, which makes it a cheat code for easy summer plans.

🌳 Buschman Park
Quiet trails, pretty views, and that “how do more people not talk about this?” energy.

🛶 Cracker Creek
For kayaking, old Florida scenery, and a little adventure without having to leave town.

🌊 Deck Down Under
Technically Daytona Beach, but I’m counting it for the river views, casual vibes, and “let’s just sit here a while” energy.

🌿 Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve
For when you want trails, old Florida scenery, and minimal humans.

Save this one for the next time you’re looking for something a little off the beaten path.

If you want even more local picks for the rest of the season, my free 2026 Summer Guide is out now.

Your Volusia summer, sorted. ☀️

A few spots and events worth getting off the couch for this season:
🍹 Hidden Treasure Tiki Bar on Spruce Creek, or pull up to Our Deck Down Under and Tiki Docks for waterfront everything

🎆 Free Saturday concerts and fireworks at the Daytona Bandshell

🍪 Mimi’s Cookies & Ice Cream or Neighbors Ice Cream Parlor when the heat calls for it

🌴 A swim and flip-your-own pancakes at De Leon Springs
🐊 A day trip to Blue Spring
🌅 Sunset on Flagler Ave in New Smyrna

Save this for the next weekend you’re staring at with no plans, and send it to the friend who’s always asking what there is to do around here.

Want the whole list? I put my favorite local spots, springs, and events into one free Volusia Summer Guide.

If Florida had a front porch, this might be it.

Waterfront views, fresh seafood, and a sunset that makes you forget every item on your to-do list.
