Or foster/adopter families are incredible. Jessi and Frankie from Downey shelter were rescued a few weeks ago. They had pneumonia so needed to be hospitalized and kept in isolation. So you can tell they are so happy to be out and starting a new life. Our team is very happy when our dogs are loved beyond words. They go through so much. So this means the world to us. Thank you jer, Jessica and Maureen for all your help. You moved mountains for these beautiful ladies.

Thank you @hopeforpawsrescue @maisonsurerescue and the best vet team @cares.pet

#LoveYourPetDay is about doing what’s best for them—regardless. Luciano’s #MalignantMelanoma has spread and his lungs are filled with #cancer. We have one more week with him before we say our last goodbye. It’s definitely not what we want, but he deserves to not live in pain which will start happening. This weekend is our last #RescueRoadTrip with him. Thank you for all the help and prayers and best wishes for him. Thank you to his vets (Dr. V, @socal_animalhospital, @vetcancergroup, #CARES). Thank you, @salvalde and @baloojasfoundation for your help and encouragement and advice! You all gave us more quality time with Luciano. Thank you to our wonderful friends on IG and FB who have stepped up in such a tremendous way to help. We thank you and love you all. 🐾🐾

Twinkie was #euthanasia -listed because she had a huge mass attached to her back end. @istandwithmypack rushed over to save her and had her fully vetted. It’s been three months of vetting and healing and learning to live without dragging the horrible #mass around, but Twinkie went to her #ForeverHome on Saturday. #ItTakesAVillage of #rescue #volunteers #transporters #donors #foster and #adopter to create a #FairyTale for each #RescueDog #HappyLife sweet #Twinkie #SEAACAsurvivor

My name is Madeleine aka Maddie, but my family also calls me DONUT. I have two big sisters named Cupcake (Cuppy) and Brownie. This is how I joined my family at @ourfosterhaven You can also follow my adventures with my sisters at @DessertFosterFails (yup, cause we’re ALL named after sweet desserts!)

I was turned into the @barstowhumanesociety a little more than a month ago. I had been dumped, but at 3 months old, I was starving. I managed to climb up into the highway—then I got hit by a car! It’s the best thing that could happen. I know that sounds strange, but that family did right by me and took me to the BHS who sent out a plea for a rescue and @baloojasfoundation stepped up for me (Thank you Auntie Robin Walker Harmon for reaching out to help me and finding a rescue!) and got me vetted at #CARES. My foster mom (who is now my real Auntie Maureenie @my20paws ) picked me up, took me to #CARES and made sure I got plenty of crate-rest while she kept sending photos & videos of me to my now FurMom @m4pr_mel and proved to her that I would be the PERFECT little sister to Cuppy & Brownie!

I healed up so well and finally got my #ConeOfShame taken off a few days ago and my #FurDad @wallarjayson waited all day to make sure I was ready for the #FreedomRide to my #ForeverHome!

A month ago, I was an emaciated 13 lbs when I was turned in to BHS and NOW, one month later, I’m 33.5 lbs with a healthy appetite and still GROWING!!

I want to thank EVERYONE who gave me a second-chance at life! If you’re able to help the rescue who saved me, below are ways to send a donation — TELL THEM Madeleine sent you!
