Friday, August 7th’s event at Brick By Brick with the Midnight Block, All Monster Revue, Our Frankenstein, and ourselves, the Writhers, headlining was tragically cut short. During the second act, All Monster Revue’s bassist Michael “Mongo” Moglia collapsed on stage, unresponsive, and passed away early the next morning from heart complications. The remainder of the show was rightly canceled that night.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy and heartbreak. Not only to Mongo’s band and family but everyone there at the event.

If anyone has any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us or Brick By Brick. We will be sure to share more info on the pending send off event for Mongo when it is announced.

I am honored to be putting on this concert/play at @thewhiskyagogo in Hollywood, CA on Samhain, Nov 1st. It’ll most definitely be one for the books. Tickets and VIP available at the link in our bio.

Unfortunately continuing the trend of only drawing when I have to make art for an event flyer. This one is a @thewrithers twist on The Evil Dead’s classic film poster for an upcoming horrorpunk show in August. Tried to make all the text make the poster as close as possible but ended up making the detail fill the page to be more legible.

Last time I did the classic “Robert Writhe” look complete with hypnotic spiral was back in May for @worldgothdaysandiego to see @ourfrankenstein. But before that I haven’t worn it since @thewrithers last played in 2025. Well the boys are getting back together for a show at @brickbybricksd August 7th. The only San Diego Writhers show of 2026 and maybe a long while. Hope to see you there.
