I’m changed! Can you tell? More on that later. Tonight there’ll be a livestream Q&A with myself and @edjurdi talking about the latest collab between @bandofheathens and @ourvinyl at 7p Central, AND THEN I’ll be heading down to @thesaxonpub tonight at 10p to sit in with my friend @williamharriesgraham and his most excellent band. Come on down!

Random Tuesday sh*tpost for you all! Americanafest was a blast, despite being literal hellscape temperatures outside. It's so important to remember that online spaces, as fun as they can be (and as much as the forces-that-be have tried to push them on us), are not real life! What a better reminder than to congregate with those who are awesome in the flesh? (Still, come to the next songwriter night on our Discord.)

It was so fun shaking hands, meeting you, and rubbing shoulders with the good folks of music. I wish I got more pics but my phone sucks. The show was packed and sweaty thanks to @soggyanvilrecords. I'm sure we will post some songs from that soon. We danced, we laughed and we had a blast. Thanks to all the artists who played for way too little. Thanks to @distrokid for making it rain 💸.

I wanna thank @trapperlynch for always offering to help everyone, for better or worse 😂👍

I really want to do more shows. It seems venues are becoming worse. Touring more expensive. Everything consolidated under increasingly unworkable capital interests. It might be we have to bring things back underground and take matters into our own hands. I don't mind that one bit. All the dope ideas and energy from everyone in this neighborhood has me stoked to be a part of it. Maybe instead of trying to bend "the industry" to our will, we can continue creating something wholly alternative.

So bless up and march on into the twilight of the empire!

Essential listening for fans of ‘80s and ‘90s country music.

Influenced by Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton, Tony Hannah finds kindred spirits in Tammy Wynette, Crystal Gayle, Linda Ronstadt, and Rosanne Cash.
