🔥 From Ventura to Los Angeles, our ARC Statewide Firefighter Program is kicking off strong! 🚒

We are building something bigger than ourselves, creating opportunities, opening doors, and paving the way for our justice-impacted community to pursue meaningful careers in the fire service.

We are definitely STRONGER TOGETHER! 💪

Carlos, thank you for opening those doors today and helping us continue to build bridges, strengthen partnerships, and move this mission forward.

One community. One mission. Endless opportunities. 🔥 @antirecidivismcoalition @_carlos.cervantes_ @scottbudnick1

Mistakes and setbacks are bound to happen in recovery, but having a community to support you can be the difference in whether you get back up or stay where you are.

Thank you, @ourwayoutla for the thoughtful discussion.

PLEASE TAKE 30 SECONDS FOR THIS KID. ❤️

This is Luke Hoover. He’s an eighth grader.

Luke was recently named Student of the Week, and one of the perks was getting a special table at lunch where he could sit with his friends.

But on the first day… no one sat with him.

If you’re a mom or dad, you probably felt that sentence in your chest.

Middle school can be hard. Really hard. At that age, something that might seem small to an adult can feel like your entire world.

Luke’s mom reached out hoping I could get him a few words of encouragement. So I did.

When Luke got home, there was a video waiting for him from one of his all-time heroes, Wayne Brady. ❤️

His mom told me something I haven’t been able to forget:

“These videos are like gold to him.”

So I started asking friends to make videos. Then I asked friends of friends.

And now I’m asking the world. 🌎

Parents. Teachers. Athletes. Actors. Musicians. First responders. Coaches. Creators. Kids who survived middle school. Adults who still remember what it felt like.

Leave Luke a VIDEO comment.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be long.

Just tell this eighth grader:

Keep going.
You matter.
You are not alone.
And one bad day does not define your story.

Imagine what could happen if Luke opened his phone and discovered that people from all over the world were rooting for him.

Let’s show an eighth grader what social media can look like when we use it to lift someone up.

🎥 MAKE A VIDEO FOR LUKE.
❤️ Tag someone who should make one too.
🌎 Share this until it reaches every corner of the world.

Luke, the world is rooting for you. Keep going, buddy.

Congratulations little Brother! Tomorrow you get to walk in the prayers you once prayed and put on that uniform. 🙏🔥

The village is beyond proud of you. Walk in there with your head held high and remember, this is only the beginning.

Proud of you, Brother! 💪🏽

Beyond proud of my wife, who will be honored at El Concilio’s 36th Latino Leadership Awards alongside some of the top leaders in our community. ❤️🙏🏽

As the Founder & CEO of The Excellent Way Foundation, she continues to serve our overlooked, at-risk, prevention-focused youth and young adults with heart, purpose, and action.

To see her recognized alongside community leaders, with our very own powerhouse Mayor Luis McArthur helping celebrate this moment, makes it even more special.

I’m proud of the woman, leader, mother, and servant you are growing into. Keep walking in your purpose. This one is well deserved. 🏆🔥

Before the night is over, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to my brothers, our community, our village, who traveled halfway across the state to put in the work for their future and for their families. 🙏🏽🔥

These brothers are literally walking out the prayers they prayed while they were still in the belly of the beast. This weekend, they finalized a major accomplishment and completed a training that puts them in a powerful position for future employment and the next chapter of their lives.

Brothers, I am beyond proud of you. Our community is beyond proud of you. Your families are proud of you. And most importantly, you should be proud of yourselves.

You showed up. You sacrificed. You stayed committed. You finished what you started.

Thank You, God, for taking our mess and turning it into a message. 🙌🏽

This is what redemption looks like.
This is what brotherhood looks like.
This is what community looks like.

Humbled and grateful. 🔥💪🏽

THE VILLAGE! ❤️🔥

What an amazing week.

There are moments when you get to step back and see that this work is so much bigger than one person, one organization, or one program. It truly takes a village, people who believe in one another, show up for one another, and refuse to let anyone walk this journey alone.

This week was filled with brotherhood, sacrifice, encouragement, preparation, and opportunity. Watching our people continue to grow, step into new doors, and chase careers that once may have seemed impossible reminds me exactly why we do this work.

Every early morning, every mile traveled, every workout, every conversation, every meal shared, every mentor, every leader, and every person who has poured into this mission is part of the story.

We’re not just helping people find jobs, we’re building family, restoring purpose, creating pathways, and showing what can happen when a community truly surrounds its people.

The village showed up this week. And we’re just getting started. 🙏🏽🔥

Walking by faith, not by sight.

The Anti-Recidivism Coalition Statewide Firefighter Recruitment Program is in full effect! 🔥🚒

Today, we prepared several of our ARC members for the Future Fire Academy next week, putting them through their exam preparation, and they crushed it.

Big thank you to Jessie Cortez, FFA Alumni; Eric Moreno, VTC/CAL FIRE; and James McGarrah, VTC/CAL FIRE for showing up and pouring into our future firefighters.

We were also blessed to serve lunch to the ARC community and close out the day with an incredible Fireside Chat featuring music icons @saqreligious_rimpau and @garren.

Preparation, mentorship, opportunity, community, and second chances, all under one roof. 🔥@Anti-RecidivismCoalition
