What a week! From the shake out on Thursday to the race, cheer zone, and after party on Saturday, it was one for the history books.

It was my first ever time volunteering at a race and from the first runner to the last, I loved every single minute of it. There was a moment where I turned around to look back and there was not a space to be had on the platform and Boxcar and it was at least 3 deep. Incredible.

Special shout out to everyone who helped out at the water station and cheer zone, so very appreciative. You all smashed it.

This really felt like a culmination of everything we’ve been working towards with TGRC and O&B when it comes to community and trying to do things a bit differently. So very proud.

Roll on next year when the full marathon returns. Don’t sleep. Get involved. It’s going to be absolutely massive.

This weekend marks the culmination of everything this community - and the wider running community across Aberdeen - has been building towards. The Aberdeen Half Marathon.

We’re proud to play a small part in bringing such a special weekend to life.

It all starts on Thursday at 6pm with a shakeout run alongside @outandbackstore. Then, on race day, we’ll be out in full force with our @thegreenrunclub crew bringing the energy at our cheer zone and water station. To round it all off, we’ll be hosting an afterparty at @mountaberdeen with drinks, stories, nibbles and a chance to celebrate together.

As we head into what promises to be a memorable weekend, we’re reminded of a quote that feels especially fitting.

“Running alone builds resilience. Running together builds community.”

We couldn’t have asked for better weather last night for our Coastal Trail Run with @outandbackstore and @mounttocoast. Thanks to @betaoutdoorsports for their help too.

We all agreed that the Mount to Coast shoes were great for the terrain 🙌🏻

What a day, Aberdeen. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Duthie Park. The atmosphere from start to finish was incredible and you really showed us what the Aberdeen running community is all about.

The team left on an absolute high, and after a day like that we already can’t wait to come back.

⛱️ Metro Aberdeen Beach 10K - 33:21 - 5th

First boost at a 10k race in a long time. Went out a bit hot but on the whole not too shabby an outing. I'd had grand thoughts of running sub 33 but knew it would be a tall order. Maybe a Leeds Abbey Dash or Tilly 10k later in the year will bring a new PB.
