INNER RHYTHM 001 Recap. Our antithetical series extended the sonic DNA of Outer Bounce exclusively to the club, and what an inaugural edition it was. 🏛️✨ On the Floor, Andy Garvey @andygarvey brought her signature textures from Eora and Sydney, while Manila’s own Duality @duality__dj delivered deep, percussive, bass-forward layers that had us locked in. Over in the Hall, LONER @leanordinario powered through with a special Live Set, blending club rhythms with Taglish lyricism. And holding it down with them were local legends RTJ @sideo, Failtrylagi @failtrylagi, and on the Floor Dodi @deelydely, each bringing their own flavour to the room. OUTER BOUNCE x RASA presents INNER RHYTHM 001 Our antithetical series, Inner Rhythm, extends the sonic DNA that guides Outer Bounce exclusively to clubs through collaboration. For this inaugural edition, we anchor the night with a global force on the Floor at RASA Space. Andy Garvey (@andygarvey) joins us from Eora and Sydney, carrying the legacy of her label Pure Space. For nearly a decade, she has amplified local talent while forging international connections from London to Berlin. Her sound blends deep techno textures with entrancing patterns, guiding listeners into endless sonic journeys. Sharing the Floor is Manila's own Duality (@duality__dj) Sean Bautista brings a unique take that showcases the duplexity of his musical references. With a background in music and design, he decodes the convergence of different media forms. His sets are deep, percussive, and bass forward. He conveys an aversion to rigidity by mixing the old with the new, as well as analogue with digital. Whether transporting the room into mental dimensions or warming the floor with atmospheric textures, he delivers layers of beautiful sonic waves. Over in the Hall, LONER (@leanordinario) powers through with a special Live Set. This Manila based artist makes music shaped by internet culture and alternative pop songwriting. What began as an experimental side project evolved into a space for exploring new possibilities within Filipino pop. Blending club music rhythms with Taglish lyricism, his performance creates an experience not one to miss. With them, local hearts RTJ (@sideo), Failtrylagi (@failtrylagi), and Dodi (@deelydely) take up space in the best way. RTJ explores classic and emerging landscapes of Southeast Asia with a melomaniac ear. Failtry lagi moves across footwork and juke-adjacent rhythms, and Dodi channels darker grooves while staying irresistibly energetic. Inside the realm of Outer Bounce. The pop-up party promoters known for transforming unexpected spaces into left-field raves pulled off another bash, this time in a shelled-out KTV in the en-bloc-destined Peace Centre. The Outer Bounce originators have their party crosshairs locked on another off-kilter venue. Throwing a curveball into the rave scene with their sporadic yet chatter-scattering appearances, the Outer Bounce promoters choose experience over quantity, ensuring that every edition is far from just ‘any other Saturday night’. It’s a habit they’re not ready to shed, and it shows in the intention of their anticipated third edition.⁣ ⁣ Outer Bounce presents SERIES 003 marks the first anniversary of the outlandish event hustlers. In similar fashion, they now take over the unlikely location of Peace Centre, a fading institution that’s had its fair share of stories since 1977. Just like the fate of Golden Mile Complex, Peace Centre is another vanishing building swept up by the tides of gentrification. But before it disappears, Outer Bounce wants to leave one last impression within its notorious walls. ⁣ ⁣ For their third rodeo, Outer Bounce continue their adoration for unorthodox performers around the region, with artistries steeped in bizarre curations and undefinable productions. ⁣ ⁣ Taiwan’s Jing Lekker is one such act, who trips up dancefloors with lightspeed electronica, dark acid and whatever’s brewing in her Unknown White Powder label. Then you have the experimental output of Japan’s Yuzo Iwata, a savant of musical mixology who released his debut full-length Kaizu last year, showcasing cosmic Balearic, lo-fi disco, and even some gamelan-infused micro-techno. And aptly rounding up the peculiar melange of sounds is Strange Weather’s own Kindergachy, as well as the introduction of BRIAN representing 19A, with selections that you’d wanna leave your Shazam out for.⁣ ⁣ Read more on our website.
