Alongside the full brand refresh, I’ve also designed show covers for new programmes of @brumradio. Birmingham’s independent radio station, broadcasts a fresh mix of music, arts and conversation. Each cover is created in collaboration with the presenter or producer, reflecting the style and personality of their show. From music and interviews to comedy and local stories, every cover has its own character while sitting comfortably alongside the wider Brum Radio identity. Here is a selection of the show covers I’ve created for Brum Radio over the past year. → www.louisplant.ch/brum-radio-covers #brumradio #inbrumwetrust #birmingham For #NewNoise, I used a large lowercase typeface to give the cover a bold, distinctive character. As a small detail, the dot from the i was carved out of the w, adding a nice touch of personality. New music, New artists, New Noise. Jordan Ritchie @jordanmritchie plays all the latest songs from the week and discovers new artists. The show cover for #TheAtoXofAlternativeMusic was inspired by Birmingham’s iconic A to Z street map. The X, together with the dark blue colour palette, gives the cover a more alternative feel. As a small detail, the X sits exactly where the Brum Radio studio is located in Digbeth. The A to X of Alternative Music hosted by Steve Taylor is a radio show that celebrates music made outside of the mainstream. Every week a selection of classic artists from Birmingham and West Midlands are showcased, alongside new music and rarities from further afield. For Kelly Jade’s new show #HometownHeavyweights, she wanted to combine Birmingham landmarks with the look and feel of a classic boxing poster. The background illustrations feature a selection of the city’s most recognisable monuments and I felt the combination was a perfect fit for the show. Kelly Jade @kellyjade.files has natter with some of Brum’s finest, from musicians to designers, comedians to restaurant owners and DJs to artists, these are the folk that keep Brum a hub of greatness. Teamed with a strictly a local playlist, this makes for one almighty tribute to the Midlands. When rebranding the #SpeakeasyWithSusie show, we moved away from the original li

MARK THE DATE: OCTOBER 30! Yes, @mamaftantonella's very first Hallowe'en gig! We'll be on, bones and all, with the sublime @esorealle, and we will ALSO be playing an ENTIRELY NEW SONG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you haven't heard our debut, stream it on all platforms (inexplicably, @spotify cannot understand our band name, so just ask for "Apex Predators, the album"). The gorgeous collector's first edition vinyl will soon be available - intense family and cat drama threw a spanner in our schedule - but we're gradually getting back on track. So: OCTOBER 30 OCTOBER 30 OCTOBER 30 Dress in black, and bring a broom ... or not 🎃👻🐈‍⬛ Tickets through @skiddleuk and @rocknrollbrewhouse #birmingham #birminghamgigs #birminghamgig #westmids #westmidsgigs @gigsandtours @shxtsngigs @gigslutz #mamaftantonella
