David Wike drums
Kevin Corrigan guitar
Spencer Murphy bass

Thank you Miles Solay of Outernational for encouraging me to stay the course and go through with this show even when it seemed like cancelation was inevitable.

Thanks to the great Spencer Murphy for joining Dave and I at the last possible minute when our regular bassist could not be there.

Thank you, Charlie the sound man at Bowery, thank you Palace for always supporting us and to everyone who showed up to rally us on despite the weather, you rule.

TOMORROW SEPTEMBER 27th 2026

Big Daddy In The Sky is an experimental Rock band formed in New York some years ago by @kevinfcorrigan, Michael Shannon and David Wike.
You know Michael from his film and stage work and his R.E.M. tribute band. Michael plays bass in Big Daddy In The Sky. David is the drummer. At this gig, Kevin be using a Fender Telecaster he bought at Matt Uminov last century.
He will attempt to levitate the building with a new effects pedal he calls “The Embalmer”.

They will be joined by their friends Ravi Shavi and Outrernational.

@ravishavi are a tight, five-piece band from Providence known for its frenetic, high energy live performance. If you follow the link below, you can check out my Talkhouse interview with founder and leader, Rafay Rashid.
https://talkhouse.com/author/ravi-sh

@outernational_ has been around since 2004. They are a politically charged, culture revolutionary rock band based out of NYC.
They fuse rock, punk reggae and traditional folk elements to deliver an unapologetic mesaage of global human emancipation and social defiance.
Founded by Miles Solay.

“I could not be more pleased and excited to share the stage with this lineup. This is a positive vibe.
If you’re exhausted by all the negative news and dark energy, come spend the night with me and Shannon and Rafay Rashid and Miles Solay.
This show, this lineup will elevate and inspire you.” - Kevin

Uplifting and exhilarating recording session of a forthcoming Outernational song, The Forbidden View. The love and power and commitment is real. Joined by the ever inspiring Leo Genovese on keys, Jesse Williams on bass, Gabriel Castellar on guitar, Mike Maz recording and engineering and, of course, dear brother Chad Smith playing drums and producing the song. We are on fire! ❤️‍🔥

Laying down a take of The Forbidden View

Leo Genovese and Chad Smith working it out

From the captain’s chair…

Song writing started with a beautiful melody from Jesse Williams on the base.

Gabriel Castellar fired-up on acoustic guitar

In excellent hands with Mike Maz engineering while Chad and Leo are listening back

That’s it, right there!

Hadn’t slept but was living on the high of Revolution rock music !

Sweet Jesse Williams !

Game face !

Serious stuff here.

This rhythm section goes back 18 years.

Get hip to the love and force of Leo on 🎹

Th security needed a hug

All paws on deck to help out the cause

27 years together!!

Que linda es esa sensación de no pensarlo mucho, comprar un pasaje y ser feliz.

Gracias Nueva York!!!

Ay, si me viera, ay, me diría
Qué no me diría
Qué no me diría
Yo quise comerme el mundo
Y casi me intoxica
Parecía valiente, pero la verdad
No sabía lo que hacía
Ay, si me viera, ay, me diría
Qué no me diría
Qué no me diría
No haga nada
No haga nada (oh-oh)
Haga lo que le dé la gana
Cuando le dé la gana
Y si no le dan ganas
No haga nada
No haga nada
Haga lo que le dé la gana
Cuando le dé la gana
Y si no le dan ganas
No haga nada
No haga nada (oh-oh)
Haga lo que le dé la gana
Cuando le dé la gana
Y si no le dan ganas
No haga nada
No haga nada
