The monumental effort we’ve put in the last 10 days to make this happen has finally paid off. So excited to finish the floor and start framing up everything. A massive push coming in the next 2 weeks to try get a roof on this bad boy.

Been a painstakingly slow few weeks in Kyneton, but it feels like we are finally on the move. So much time and effort has gone into rebuilding the subfloor of this old home. From new stumps and replacing rotten bearers to meticulously planning the air/vapour barrier to protect the investment no one sees.

OTTOLENGHI HOUSE //
We've gravitated towards a muted palette at Ottolenghi House so that the travertine look porcelain slabs can be the main focal point.

Porcelain slabs can be a great alternative to natural stone. They are incredibly durable and stain resistant, and don't require any ongoing maintenance. This is perfect for clients where low-maintenance and durable finishes are a high priority.

With our bulk demo here nearly coming to an end it’s crazy to look back on how many layers, random additions and renovations we removed from this place. Ready to fall over from years of neglecting what matters underneath, full of mould and rot. Really looking forward to rebuilding this 👏

🏆 2026 Best Sustainable Home Northern Regional Winners 🏆

We’re proud to share that our Mitchellstown build has been named Best Sustainable House for the northern region at the Master Builders Victoria awards.
This off grid hybrid home was designed as a private retreat, built around energy efficiency, low maintenance and year round comfort.
The pavilion style layout balances privacy with connection to the landscape, while airtight construction and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery keep the home comfortable and healthy in every season.
Designed by @outlier_studio and built by our team here in Seymour, it’s a home that performs as well as it looks and we’re thrilled to see that work recognised.
Thanks to our clients for trusting us with it, and to the local trades who helped bring it together.

A wet week onsite at our new High Performance Build.
We have successfully bogged every truck, ute & machine getting to this stage.
Awesome effort from all our boys pushing through, getting this fully insulated slab prepped ready for our pour next week.
We are looking forward to seeing the @ecosky_windows in the coming month.

Bodkin st starting point. About 60mm out of plumb (yes the gimbal is holding the camera plumb, makes you feel dizzy 😅) and a whole lot of up and down. Really keen to strip this old house apart and get some retrofitting happening aswell as a high performance extension. Hoping to really bring this beautiful home into a modern world along side @outlier_studio
