👉 This is Antoine Pauels aka Black District - DJ and Drum & Bass artist who discovered his passion for the sound back in 2017.

👉 In 2021, he joined the legendary @outofcontrolbe D&B Crew - opening the door to national and international stages.

From 🇦🇪 Bassworx DXB to 🇫🇮 Rumble.
From 🇮🇹 Oasis to 🇵🇱 Freedom Parade.
From 🇧🇪 Brussels underground parties to 🇩🇪 Nature One, Odonien and Ruhr-in-Love.

And that’s only part of the journey.

👉 Black District has taken his sound across Belgium, Germany, Finland, Italy, Bulgaria and Malta, sharing lineups with artists like Pola & Bryson and being hosted by MC Fava and MC Co-Defender.

This Halloween, Black District enters the Jungle Prison ⛓️

Looking through my photos and videos, I realise how lucky I am to live freely and create what I love.

And then comes a call from my grandmother in Ukraine - strikes near my sister’s workplace. People in occupied Oleshky going months without food. Friends missing since the beginning of the war. Friends fighting on the front line. My dad living through his own reality of this war.

Yes, my life is full of contrasts.

But this is not about “me”.
It’s about showing the world what Ukrainians are capable of creating while carrying so much pain inside.

I’m lucky to be here - but I’m here for a reason.

To make sure Ukraine is not forgotten.
To fight for our freedom, our culture, our voices and our right to exist.

To show the world that even with the sound of sirens forever in our heads, we still create. We still dream. We are still here 🇺🇦🧡
