Today is the one year mark, 52 weeks in a row straight of shooting bands since starting the “Depression Therapy Amateur Photography Hobby” at the @ivyroom and of course I will be shooting a show later today for the official 52 week straight acheivement. I dumped a bunch of photos into a folder and had an app randomly pick 15 photos from the journey. I have been posting a lot over the last week about the journey, so I will leave you with one final observation I have obtained during the 1 year amateur photography hobby. I have been going to club shows ever since my first club show at @924gilmanstreet in 1988. I have seen the Bay Area Punk, Thrash, and Rock and Roll scene for 38 years (yes 38 years, good lord sigh). I have seen multiple versions of the music community. In all of those versions, I have to say today through my eyes and what I have witnessed the last year, the community today is the strongest and most positive version to date. The band unity across state lines. The unity among patrons. In a world where people THINK this is all dead, they are far from the reality and the truth. (and this expands past Bay Area bands and patrons). It has been an honor and a blessing to capture or whatever you want to call what I do during this truly amazing time happening in realtime thus far. Support Club Music and Bands. Buy Merch. Tip Your Bartenders.
