Our second event of the season in the Tulsa area was absolutely amazing!! With 15 studios in attendance the atmosphere was so positive and all of the teachers, dancers and families were wonderful.

We wanted to take a moment to congratulate the Tribute to Dance highest scoring group routines. The Honor Level winning team was the large group "Magalenha" from Velocity Dance Center and the Supreme Level winning team was the small group "Heaven I Know" from Ovations. Congratulations!!

In addition we wanted to congratulate Landrie Selvey, a dancer at Rhythm Alley Dance Studio, pictured with her
parents who won our Tribute to my Parents Award. Her essay was an inspiration and defines what courage, strength and faith are all about. Landrie, thank you for sharing the love and appreciation you have for your parents and how they have helped you in so many ways. Her essay is posted on our results page.

Also a shout out to Studio J and Rhythm Innovations for having their soloists perform in our Special Angel's Category. This is always so special and we are honored to give these dancers a place where they can feel loved and make them feel like a stars!!

To everyone who attended our event in Oklahoma we just can’t thank you enough. With hundreds of choices on events to attend, our family is forever grateful. Thank you for supporting our small family business and we hope to see you all again next year on February 20-22, 2027!!

i am so grateful to have danced alongside all of these girls last night. i am so incredibly lucky to dance for the last 16 years at @ovationsok !! this community and team has been family for years. i don’t know what i’m going to do without my purple plums. we have been through thick and thin, wins and losses, laughs and tears. you girls are the strongest i have ever met. thank you Lord for all of the opportunities and thank you for my family for knowing that i needed to dance! i love you ovations studio, thank you for the memories and the friendships that will last a lifetime. from 2 years old wishing i could be on that stage, to taking it for the last time. 💞🫶🏼

How do you even begin to sum up such an emotional & meaningful night? dance has held such an important place in my life throughout my time in high school. looking back i will always treasure the time i got to spend at that studio. performing for the last time was so bittersweet, but i couldn’t be more thankful for the people surrounding me
to my teachers: thank you for always pushing and encouraging me. you all dealt with my poor attitude when i couldn’t get something, my crazy random energy, and all the back stage nerves. you all have made such an impact on me and i am forever grateful for all you do.
to my fellow dancers: from my rec girls who have come and gone to the seniors i danced with tonight, thank you. it was always such a privilege to get to share the stage with such talented and hardworking girls. every good memory in the studio stems from all of you, so thank you for always making me laugh, fixing my costumes, and telling me i did great (even when i didnt)
to my grandma: tonight was for you. although i am unbearably sad i could not hug you and see your reactions tonight, i know you were still watching. you were always my biggest fan and my best supporter. your many snacks, classic red roses, and congratulatory hugs were missed so deeply. i love you so much and know that tonight made you so proud.
to my siblings: from day one you two have always been my role models. you danced before me and paved the path i walked all through high school. kately, i wish more than anything that you could’ve been here, but i know God has been using you in mighty ways. libby, you are my biggest encourager. for as long as i can remember you have been my hype man for all things dance and i could not thank you enough.
to my parents: i could not have done this without you. thank you for enrolling me in dance and always pushing me to do my best. thank you mom for every donut bun, quick change, and bouquet of flowers. i could never make it through recital without the things that you do. i love you both.
So, here’s to the last 15 years, you will be missed❤️

I still remember my first dance recital when Amy told me I needed redder lipstick. I also remember dancing with Jenny and being scared and sitting in her lap in between across the floors. And I can’t forget my first solo with Rachel when I was too scared to talk to her. All this memories have formed me into the woman I have become. Time has really flown by. Ovations has always been my home away from home. These teachers have become moms, and the girls my sisters. Last night was bitter sweet and I can’t believe I’ll be on the other side of the stage watching next year! Officially just a regular dance teacher and no longer a student-teacher. Ovations will always have my heart, especially @rachport3 , who always be my biggest role model. Love you guys forever and always<3
