Holy moly. What can I say about Recon 2026? My mind is still blown. What a spectacular night. Every band absolutely brought it and I’m so happy. Recon went off without a hitch in no small part to the contributions and support from our community. Amps were loaned (thank you @jaredburke, @cramonrub ), a practice space was donated (thank you @yellfireseattle and @jodiopitz1 ). We had a killer sound crew, production crew, volunteers, and the Southgate staff went above and beyond. I’m so grateful for this community, which includes everyone that showed up to enjoy the bands. Recon is undeniably a community effort and we all do it because we love the music and we love White Center and I believe that every band felt this and delivered mind blowing performances. Every. Damn. Band. For fuck’s sake. Thank you. What were your favorite bands/moments from this year? Please post, tag, or message us any footage you recorded from this epic night. We want it all.

My latest full-length, A Sickness in the Gut, is now out on bandcamp! Endless thank yous to Jordan for all of the time, patience, focus and bad-idea encouraging that it took to make this record, to everyone who has given me a noise trinket or instrument over the years, and everyone who has booked me, come to see me or given me the much needed encouragement in the time it has taken to write and record these songs. Tomorrow I get to play alongside some of my favorite artists/people and celebrate this time of many transitions! Would love to see your shining faces there 💖

This album comes with all of my usual TWs (abuse, assault, abortion, how's that for AAA coverage?) so listen with care.

****MEET THE BANDS****
Overcalc is Nick Skrobisz. Nick is a Recon alum, a friend, and a prolific and incredible musician who also performs in Multicult and Wayward (both amazing bands). Overcalc is his one-man guitar/electronics project and he’s coming all the way from Baltimore to play our event. Overcalc is both gorgeous and jarring. Haunting and driving, yet cohesive and even danceable if you squint.
Overcalc plays Rat City Recon on October 2nd. Be prepared to expand your mentals. Can’t wait.
