🌱💚 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY!

ARE WE FEEDING OUR BODIES OR FEEDING THE PROBLEMS WE’RE TRYING TO SOLVE?

Let me ask you something.

Would you put poor-quality fuel in a high-performance automobile and expect it to perform at its best?

Then why don’t we always give our bodies the same consideration?

At 60, after nearly 47 years in health, wellness, and physical fitness, I’ve learned that taking care of yourself is one of the greatest investments you can make.

💚 Nutrition matters.
💚 Sleep matters.
💚 Physical fitness matters.
💚 Emotional wellness matters.
💚 Self-esteem matters.

And here’s something else:

PUBLIC SAFETY IS MORE THAN RESPONDING TO CRIME.

It’s also about building stronger communities through education, mentorship, economic opportunity, and meaningful relationships.

That’s why I’m highlighting Pure Green in Bowie Town Center during Bowie State University Homecoming Weekend!

🐾🌱 MEET & GREEN WITH DAVE GROGAN!

📅 Saturday, October 24, 2026
⏰ 11 AM–2 PM
📍 Pure Green — Bowie Town Center
3902 Town Center Blvd., Bowie, MD

Come discover healthier food choices, support a local business, and have a conversation about wellness, healthy aging, and public safety.

HEALTHY MINDS. HEALTHY BODIES. HEALTHY SOULS.

SALVATION SUNDAY 🗳️ — PAGE 22

Yesterday in Bowie, a resident opened her official voter guide and pointed directly to my name:

DAVID GROGAN
SHERIFF
UNAFFILIATED

Then she asked why I wasn’t listed beside my opponent.

That question became today’s Salvation Sunday story.

Because here’s what every voter should know:

YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE.

🗳️ Fill in the write-in oval.
✍🏾 Write DAVE GROGAN.

The establishment does not get the final word.
THE VOTER DOES.

And sometimes change isn’t printed on the ballot.

Sometimes you have to write it in.

🚨 SALVATION SATURDAY: PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY

WHO IS WATCHING THE MONEY?

💰 Nearly $8.6 MILLION
🤝 A publicly acknowledged close relationship
🏛️ A fight over control of taxpayer dollars
🔎 Questions about independent oversight

My newest story examines the documented relationships, the funding trail, PG ChangeMakers, Community on the Frontline, and why Prince George’s County residents should be asking for the records.

This is not about declaring someone guilty.

It is about asking:

Who approved it?
Who controlled it?
Who benefited?
Who audited it?
Who was watching?

Transparency can expose wrongdoing—but transparency can also clear people when everything was done correctly.

Either way:

SHOW THE RECORDS.

Beautiful weather. Incredible energy. A great @fox5dc Zip Trip in Prince George’s County. ☀️🎉

But I have to say this bothered me.

People came out early to support a major televised community event, enjoy the atmosphere, and hopefully spend money with local businesses and some returned to their vehicles to find parking tickets before many businesses were even open.

I believe in rules. I believe in accountability. But I also believe leadership requires judgment, discretion and common sense.

Great community events should leave people with great memories not parking tickets.

We should be encouraging people to come into our communities, support our businesses, and enjoy Prince George’s County.

Good government is not just about enforcing rules. It’s about knowing how and when to apply them.

WE HAVE NORMALIZED FEELING BAD.

And it’s time to talk about it.

Poor sleep.
Low energy.
Stress.
Mental health.
Hormones.
Nutrition.
Healthy aging.

Those conversations should not become taboo just because we’re getting older.

That’s why our August 24 Campaign Kickoff begins with a Healthy Aging & Wellness Panel featuring four professionals bringing four very different perspectives.

But there’s a bigger message:

Mental wellness is public safety.

We cannot put badges, firearms, tremendous authority, and tremendous stress on human beings and then pretend their mental health doesn’t matter.

As Sheriff, I intend to build a wellness culture inside the organization.

Before we kick off, let me tell you what we’re building.

Our August 24 Campaign Kickoff is approaching, and this week’s Sunday Salvation explains the vision behind the campaign.

Healthy minds.

Healthy bodies.

Stronger communities.

Safer neighborhoods.

And leadership that solves problems instead of simply explaining them.

We’re talking about recruiting, mentorship, developing future leaders, constitutional responsibility, accountability, wellness, inclusion, and creating a stronger public-safety culture.

Can We Do Better?

I believe we can.

Big things are happening in Prince George’s County!

Yesterday, the Revenue Authority in partnership with the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking an exciting new chapter for the future of Towne Square at Suitland Federal Center.

Together, we’re laying the foundation to revitalize a key community destination; spark economic growth and attract investment; and, create vibrant mixed-use spaces where residents, businesses, and opportunity can scale with lasting impact.

Thanks to both Executive Director Danso & Executive Director Paylor for their commitment to being “partners in progress” for Prince George’s County.

This partnership is about more than a signature, it’s about building stronger communities and investing in the future.

Much appreciation and gratitude to all who attended, to include County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha @councilmemberko, Del.
Karen Toles D-25, Del. Denise Roberts D-25, DCAO Tracy Benjamin, ADCAO Howard Ways, RVA & RDA board chairs Dr. Stephanie Overton Stanard & Leon Bailey, RVA board members Maria Day-Marshall, Shameeka Price, and many of our development partners

Shout out to both the RDA & RVA leadership teams who worked tirelessly to make this historic moment possible and a success.

Stay tuned the transformation is just beginning.

#Congratulations, @votetarajackson
@tarajackson1599
Congratulations on a well-earned victory. Your campaign was a reflection of something that can’t be manufactured overnight years of consistency, community engagement, and genuine relationships.

While I was out on the campaign trail visiting polling places and talking with voters across Prince George’s County, I paid close attention to what people were saying about the candidates. I have to say, I wasn’t surprised by the outcome. Everywhere I went, people spoke very highly of you. In fact, as someone running for office myself, I don’t recall a single conversation where anyone had anything negative or derogatory to say about you.

That says a great deal about the respect you’ve earned throughout our community. You have clearly touched the hearts of many people through your service and your presence long before becoming a candidate.

I wish you every success as our next State’s Attorney. Prince George’s County deserves leadership that is committed to justice, fairness, and public trust, and I hope your administration continues building on those principles.

I also look forward to working with you in the future as we continue raising the standards and expectations for public safety in Prince George’s County. Public safety should never be a partisan issue. It is about protecting our families, supporting our communities, and ensuring justice for everyone. When we set aside political labels whether red, blue, green, or independent and focus on our shared responsibility to serve the people, our county is at its strongest.

Congratulations again on this well-deserved victory. I wish you nothing but success, and I look forward to building a safer, stronger Prince George’s County together. #CongratulationsTaraJackson #PrinceGeorgesCounty #StatesAttorney #LeadershipMatters PublicSafety
