Had THE BEST few days in San Francisco at Adobe’s Photoshop VIP Community Summit with some of the most wildly talented and creative humans I’ve had the privilege of spending time with.

There’s something very full-circle about this one for me.

I was a curious 10-year-old kid teaching herself Photoshop on the family desktop computer before YouTube was even a thing, just making shit because I loved making shit. Almost 30 years later, getting invited by Adobe to be part of this VIP Photoshop community feels pretty damn special.

Adobe products have been a staple in my creative kit for basically my entire creative life, so getting to spend a few days with the people building the tools, alongside other people who care deeply about creativity and where it’s going, was incredibly gratifying and inspiring.

But I think what surprised me most was how much I needed these few days.

I’ve been so deep in the world of AI for the past few years that being surrounded by people who are just deeply, obsessively creative felt a little like coming home.

Some of us see AI similarly. Some of us see it very differently. Some are integrating it into everything, others are much more selective. Getting to hear all of those perspectives and see how everyone is navigating this very weird moment in creativity was refreshing as hell.

And somewhere in all of those conversations, I remembered something I think I’d lost sight of a little:

I really fucking love designing.

Not because it needs to become content.
Not because I need to teach it.
Not because there’s a new tool I need to explain.

Just because making shit has always been my first love.

Weirdly, spending a few days talking about the future of creativity made me want to go back to my roots and make more things simply because I want to make them.

At the same time, I left SO excited about what Adobe is building and all the new ways gen AI can become part of that creative process without becoming the whole process.

Turns out sometimes looking forward reminds you what you loved in the first place. 🥹🫶

Thank you @adobe for having me. This one meant a lot.

No Scotland, No Party🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸

Instead of sitting in the fomo of not being over in Boston & Miami for the world cup, I teamed up with my good pal Steven to design fan merchandise for the Tartan Army!

Taking some inspiration from the home and away kits for the 2026 world cup, the national animal, football chants and of course, all the traffic cone antics!

What a fun way to celebrate the best fans in the world😎 (although Steven might disagree with me on that one!)

Just got back from Crop Con in Austin and I’m still processing how good that experience was. I went in excited to teach my workshop on storytelling and case studies, but I walked away just as inspired by the people, the conversations, and the energy around where our industry is headed. I built this session as a full experience with a brief, workbook, exercises, and real takeaways, all focused on helping creatives better communicate their work and their value. Seeing it all come to life in the room was something I won’t forget.

Huge thank you to @cropcons and Matt Dawson @staygrayponyboy for continuing to raise the bar for what a creative conference can be, and for inviting me to be part of it. What you’re building is important for this industry and it shows in every detail. Also big thanks to my buddy Tyler Pate @thecreativepain . It was awesome comparing notes on our workshops leading up to the event. You’re always pushing things forward and it’s motivating to be around.

One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was the people. From the workshop attendees who showed up ready to engage and push themselves, to the portfolio reviews, to all the hallway conversations that turn into something bigger. This community continues to prove that growth happens when people are open, generous, and willing to share.

And to all the friends I now call family, you know who you are. Always grateful for this crew and the chance to keep building something meaningful together.

I’mma @cropcons noob. Thanks to the Jesses (@byjesscabato @chickofalltrade ) for bringing me along. These cool creative ladies of @womenoftype I just met a few weeks ago at another conference… and somehow we’re already on a girls trip together like that 😂 @thelettermermaid

It’s really refreshing to be around people who get your niche, nerdy type jokes. Even met some dope new friends and some people I’ve been following since tumblr days @homsweethom and left feeling inspired all over again… and one thing about Crop… they work hard and play harder forreal
