Now what might sound like an unlikely story, a missionary from Minnesota, a videographer from Boston, a nature girl and a city boy, crossing paths in the old capital of Antigua Guatemala, who now in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, find themselves getting married and establishing a covenant with not only each other, but with the greatest love of their life, Jesus Christ, is not quite as unlikely as it may sound. The verse below sheds light on why that is so:

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 - “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up. Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails”

The love described above is the kind of love Jesus calls us to exemplify daily. No human by there own measures could love like this. But by Jesus first showing us THIS kind of love by his sacrifice on the cross, we through faith in what he did for us, can through his spirit. personify this kind of selfless love in daily life. What might have seemed like an unlikely story became very likely the moment Lauren and I both began to follow Jesus. He will always keep us accountable, push us to love each other even when it’s hard. Marriage without Jesus is a house built on sand. So we walk in faith knowing God will honor a relationship that keeps Him at the center. Thank you to our community and our family for all your love and support.

Divine 29… I woke up this morning unbelievably blessed. I’m surrounded by a community of people who show up for me every single day and love my most genuine raw authentic self. I have the freedom to travel this world as I please constantly taking on new adventures, making new memories and finding more amazing people along way… I’ve learned what it takes to build a village and how to water and nurture platonic love. I’ve learned how to slow down and embrace my life one day at a time and I’ve learned to forgive myself if things don’t go exactly as I imagined. I see the magic of the universe surrounding me, guiding me, showing me time and time again; that i am exactly where I am meant to be. ✨
