POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A lot of athletes reach a high level because of a combination of things.

Talent. Genetics. Size. Speed. Great coaching. Resources. Opportunity.

And make no mistake most athletes who earn the opportunity to play college sports have worked extremely hard to get there.

But there’s a reality every athlete eventually has to face:

The things that helped separate you early won’t separate you forever.

At the high school level, physicality can cover up a lot. You might be faster, stronger, more explosive or simply more developed than the athletes around you.

Then you get to college.

Everyone was one of the better players on their high school team.

Everyone has ability.

Everyone belongs.

And suddenly the gap starts to close.

That’s when your habits become the separator.

How consistently do you train?

How seriously do you take your nutrition?

How intentionally do you recover?

How well do you respond when things aren’t going your way?

Because somewhere there is an athlete who wasn’t given every advantage you had.

They’ve had to fight for opportunities.

They’ve failed.

They’ve been overlooked.

They’ve had to learn how to work when nobody was paying attention.

And if you become comfortable, they will catch you.

Don’t be afraid of that.

Use it.

Show up every day with an appreciation for what you’ve been given and the understanding that you still have to earn what comes next.

Don’t just talk about what you want to accomplish.

Go do what you say you want to do.

REACTING TO MY PRESEASON BREAKOUT PLAYERS LISTS🔥
-
by saying these kids did not break out does NOT AT ALL MEAN I THINK THEY ARE BAD. All of these kids showed flashes of the future. While I talk about their stats and performance and decide if they broke out or not, I am in no way diminishing a player on the field or personally.
