Gather ‘round the campfire, y’all, it’s jiujitsu time.

Back escapes by the one and only John. Tried and true, just take your time and put the pressure on.

Few Weeks Ago:

Nice large class, with lots of ladies, on a Thursday to work on Triangles! Don’t worry if you have no idea what a triangle is… we got you!

Also, make sure you scroll all the way to the end for a surprise 😉. She’s contemplating all the ways to get to your back and rear naked choke you.

About last night…

Brent led the 6:30 pm class and broke the class up into different pods to work on the same pieces, Turtle and Half Guard, but from different skill levels.

Ended the class with white belts being put with upper belts for their rolls.

Thanks Brent! And thanks @lilis.awsomesauce for the photos!

Competitors Corner :

Congratulations to all the Youth and Adults who stepped out on the mat for our first ever Affiliates and Friends Tournament!

What an amazing accomplishment for everyone, and what a great turnout!

Quite a few had never done a tournament before and what a perfect time to try it out; low stakes for a good cause!

I look forward to more registrations next year so we can expand the brackets and give both the youth and the adults more matches!!!

✨MVPS: ✨

We couldn’t have done a single thing for our Affiliates and Friends Tournament/ Open Mat without our incredible volunteers.

Thank you for those who helped with beginning prep weeks ago, made signs and banners, went to the grocery store, those who helped set up, clean up, manned stations, reffed, coached 1:1s. The list goes on and one. Everyone gave up their time, their energy, stayed positive, was excited and worked hard to make sure that this event went as smoothly as possible, and honestly 10/10.

Forever grateful for those who showed up: the weeks before, the days before, the day of. Those who helped flesh out ideas this whole time. And most of all, those who loudly cheered for us from beginning to end.

Thank you all; more photos, videos, and captions to follow.

💜 M
