Officially three years in New York. The greatest home I’ve ever had. What an adventure this has been, and what incredible adventures are ahead.
Grateful. Here’s to many more.

2025 in a some words and a some photos:

• I enjoyed another year of life in New York. Some quintessential things I experienced included going to FAO Schwartz, going to the top of the Rockefeller building, seeing a live taping of Jimmy Fallon, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, going to the Met and the American Museum of Natural History, seeing Cabaret (x2) and Gypsy on Broadway, and attending the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the second time. Shoutout to all the friends and family who visited, especially my family from Italy. I loved showing all of you around.

• I went on a coffee date in February that turned in to a few hours of thrifting with a cutie who can’t eat bread. Said cutie stole my heart and now my dad knows how to cook a gluten free dinner. Owen encouraged me to speak up for myself, showed me that the parts of myself that I am ashamed of still deserve love, and celebrated even my smallest successes. I appreciate him tolerating me crying over the Zydeco Colorguard 2014 video every time I put it on.

•I started doing ballet again, which healed me in a lot of ways I didn’t expect. After a couple months, I started doing jazz again. I bought my first pair of LaDucas ever and my first pair of pointe shoes since 2009 and became a bonafide regular at Steps on Broadway, which was a dream of mine when I decided to move here. This went exponentially better than I expected and I’m even making new friends, which is hard to do after 30.

•I enjoyed another year of having REALLY cool coworkers.

• My best friend opened a store (@satin.and.stone ), and I went to Boston to cheer her on. I also went to Connecticut to see my friend and former roommate of five years( @kwebber909 ) get married, and went to upstate New York to celebrate my drum corps friend of 15 years getting married to a really smart and cool person (@itsbeenariot ). I am very lucky to have so many wonderful friends to miss every single day that I’m not with them.

• I saw My Chemical Romance for the first time and saw Foxy Shazam for the fourth time. I cried through the entirety of both.

Overall, I’m grateful. What a ride. I’ll see you all next year!

.....

It all started with a night just like this. @trik_irecuam and I kicked off a buy-sell-trade night at @richmondhoodco, bringing together a community of vintage enthusiasts. From discussing finds to trading, buying, and selling, it was all about the love for vintage and connecting with like-minded people.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up and made it special!

Missed it? Don’t worry—we’re hosting another 1/25 from 7 PM to 10 PM. Mark your calendars and pull up! @hommage.nyc
