Kaylie spent more time on planning her wedding this year than anything else, but she still made time for a few local triathlons and crit races. She joined the team at the Monday Night Lights crit races, rounding out the podium in one appearance. @mondaynightlightscrits More impressively, she was the overall winner of both sprint triathlons she attended in Arkansas this summer: Ozark Valley in June and Lake DeGray in September. Her bike split was the fastest of all competitors (male and female) at Ozark Valley. @ozarkvalleytri @degraylaketrifest She will continue to focus on Multisport next year, with plans for more time in the saddle as she eyes another half Ironman in the near future. Thank you to one of our sponsors, @kaicaddy, for the action shot!

Race mornings never get old. Early alarms, nervous energy, watching the sun come up over the water, and hundreds of people chasing a goal they’ve been working toward for months. It’s one of my favorite atmospheres to be around.

Triathlon day! Triathlons are something I’ve enjoyed over the last 19 years. There’s so much about it that I enjoy and the experience today topped it all… Watching my son compete in the same events that I did! I watched my son this week, all on his own, eliminate sugar from his diet, get good sleep, stay hydrated, and eat the kind of foods that promote health and vitality- all on his own. I watched him cross the finish line in sixth place today. It is his very first triathlon. He set a goal last year to compete in it. Today was a moment I will never forget! Im so grateful for the opportunity to do these activities together! Thank you @ozarkvalleytri for creating this lifelong memory for me and my son. Incredible venue. Awesome finishing breakfast. Thanks for the safety and forever memories. @usatriathlon @allsportsproductions NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Open Water Success Starts With Practice 🌊 Coaching athletes to step outside their comfort zones, try new skills, and gain confidence in open water is my FAVORITE! At the SWIM OZ Open Water Clinic during the Ozark Valley Triathlon, athletes worked on the little details that make a big difference on race day: 🏊 Start: Stay calm, count your strokes, and focus on full exhales. 👀 Sighting: Practice peeking and using “alligator eyes” to stay on course without disrupting your rhythm. 🏁 Finish: Don’t stop swimming when you think you’re there—keep swimming until your hands touch the ground! Whether you’re tackling your first open water event or looking to sharpen your skills, every swim is an opportunity to learn and improve. Thanks to everyone who joined us and was willing to try something new! The confidence you build in practice is what carries you through on race day. #swim #triathlete #newthings #openwater #coach

Welp, I DNF’d (did not finish). Halfway through my ride my back tire blew and wasn’t able to fix it. Bummed not to finish but had an absolute blast, already looking forward to the next one! Was greeted by the best fan club of all time!
