Howdy and welcome back to Outfit Spotlights!

Next up we have Company P-2, known as “The Tridents”, or “Trident Company”

Since P-2’s inception in 1977, The Tridents have been hard at work forging leaders of character who excel in the face of adversity and are ready to take on the toughest of challenges. Their training is focused on deliberate and intentional execution of their TRIDENT values, and the very nature of putting others, the team, and the outfit before oneself. Their goal is develop young men and women to become proficient in all aspects of cadet life, those being academically, physically and mentally, and to introduce them to an environment that truly feels like family.

These days, Trident Company has branched out and had numerous leaders and involvement in different areas of the corps including:

-Parsons Mounted Cavalry
-Fish Drill Team
-Corps Triathlon Team
-Corps Marathon Team
-Corps Of Cadets Marksmanship Unit
-SEAL Platoon
-Recon Company
-The NROTC Midshipman Battalion
-The Warrior Training Battalion
-USMC PLC
-Ross Volunteers
-Intramural Sports

All this involvement provides practical and effective skills that establish the base for future Naval and Marine Corps Officers, as well as many numerous and successful private sector leaders.

P-2 placed 2nd overall this past year in Cadet Challenge, being the highest ranking integrated outfit overall, and won 3rd place in Bloody Cross, the 5k portion of Cadet Challenge.

Fun Fact: This is P-2’s Semi-centennial Anniversary, marking 50 years of continued strength, pride and power for the Company!

Trident Company is the epitome of excellence and continually adds to the mission of 5th Battalion to be the frontrunners and model for the rest of the Corps to live up to.

Company P-2 “Trident P”
