With my work I aim to create a bridge to childhood, tap into the emotions associated with the simple things in life

What if joy was the point?

For Pablo Dona, imagination isn’t something we leave behind in childhood, it’s something we carry with us.

Inspired by memories of his grandmother’s teacups and the limitless creativity of being a kid, his work invites us to see the world with a little more wonder and playfulness.

Laura Rathe Fine Art Houston presents World of Color, a group exhibition featuring Pablo Dona, Miriam Fitzgerald Juskova, Gian Garofalo and Lynn Sanders.

World of Color explores color as both a meaningful and nostalgic force, brought to life through @mimmafj_art’s intricately folded paper, @giangarofalo’s flowing stripes of pigmented resin, @pablodona’s miniature figures swimming within teacups, and @lynnsandersart layered colorscapes.

Join us at the opening reception Thursday, July 16th from 6-9 at our @rodistrict gallery.

@pablodona creates a little world inside a teacup and his use of bright, happy colors evokes memories from childhood, vacations or any other happy places that exist in our memory. His pieces are sculptural but also whimsical, showing that art can be technically complex but still happy.

New Artist at Artcadia Gallery: Pablo Dona
We are very happy to welcome Miami-based artist Pablo Dona to Artcadia Gallery. When we met him in person at his studio in Miami this summer, we were equally impressed by his art and his personality.
Pablo Dona combines childlike imagination with contemporary reflection, using materials such as Disney figures and everyday objects to explore themes of memory, play, and perspective. ❤️

You can now discover his enchanting sculptures on our website: www.artcadia-gallery.com ✨
