Still Here - a beautiful, powerful and inspiring song

Life has a way of testing us. I’ve been through my own struggles, and I know many of my friends, family, community leaders, entrepreneurs and members of the Vocal Groove Collective are walking through tough seasons too. Life throws arrows, pain, and setbacks—but we’re still standing, still fighting, still here.

That’s why this new single “Still Here” by Antoinette Targa hits me so deeply. I freaking love it. I’m a grown man who doesn’t back down easily, but this song is powerful enough to humble even the toughest of us. It’s not just a song—it’s a battlecry. An anthem for resilience. A reminder that no matter how many times life knocks us down, we can rise again.

It also makes me think of our dear friend Pam Gamboa Gan. Even though she passed away, she never gave up. She left behind a legacy of inspiration—showing us all that no matter how painful or difficult life becomes, it’s worth taking risks and chances to achieve happiness, success, and to put a smile in people’s hearts.

And I have to say—Antoinette recorded and sang this beautifully. This is a perfect masterpiece. I have always loved her voice. She is also a genius and a very talented and intelligent young soul.

Every person on this planet should give it a listen. It is positive, powerful, emotional, and above all, it carries a moral we should all strive to live by: never give up.

For anyone chasing dreams, carrying pain, or fighting battles no one else sees—you’re not alone. This song is for you. This is your Anthem.

Keep breathing.
Keep believing.
Keep fighting.

Never. Give. Up.

As the summer festival season wraps up for the Vocal Groove Collective and A+1 Dance Team, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to our amazing supporters. Your unwavering enthusiasm and energy are the driving force behind every performance.

This season, we’ve not only made new friends and welcomed fantastic new supporters but also brought together some of the best singers from the Greater Toronto Area. We’re thrilled to have discovered new talents through our members, who have joined the Vocal Groove Collective and added their unique flair to our shows.

We’re immensely grateful to our dedicated members who’ve stood by us through every challenge—from performing on stages exposed to the elements in heavy downpours to facing audiences that were less than enthusiastic. Despite these hurdles, we’ve also experienced nights filled with joy, where the crowd danced their hearts out and created unforgettable memories.

As autumn approaches and we move into the indoor season, we’re excited about the new opportunities ahead. We’re also thrilled to announce that we’ve received invitations to perform in the United States! We can’t wait to share more details with you soon.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our journey. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and bringing even more joy to your lives!

Warmest regards,
Rodney & Chyrell
