From Kenneth Kaunda, Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela, Ibrahim Traoré, Thomas Sankara, Samora Machel, Haile Selassie, John Pombe Magufuli, Aliko Dangote and Muammar Gaddafi, generations of African voices have carried a vision of unity, dignity, cooperation and self-determination for our continent. 🌍✊🏿❤️ Africa is a continent blessed with extraordinary mineral resources, youthful energy, fertile lands, diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes, natural wonders and remarkable wildlife. From North to South, East to West, our diversity is our strength. 🌍🌿💎🦁 Today, Africa is not waiting for anyone to define its future. A new generation is rising - one that believes in building bridges between nations, strengthening cooperation across regions and turning our shared resources and talents into opportunities for all. Our Pan-African vision is not about isolation or superiority. It is about unity without erasing our diversity, cooperation without borders, friendship with every region of the world, and an Africa that can contribute meaningfully to global prosperity. 🤝🌍❤️ What our forefathers dreamed of, we can continue building together: a more united, peaceful, prosperous and self-reliant Africa - capable of becoming a major food basket for the world while sharing its knowledge, culture, creativity and resources with humanity. The future belongs to a generation that chooses unity over division, collaboration over isolation, and progress over limitations. Africa is rising. Africa is uniting. Africa is building - and Africa welcomes the world. 🌍✊🏿❤️ #PanAfricanism #AfricaRising #AfricanUnity #OneAfrica #DraxAfrica

Pan African Creative Exchange (PACE)✨ Being a Producer in Residence at the 2025 Pan African Creative Exchange (PACE) in Bloemfontein was a humbling experience. PACE is a multi-layered, multi-platform organization that brings together African and diasporic artists alongside national and international presenters, creating opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and interdisciplinary arts provocation across Africa. The exchange was a powerful reminder that cultural work is urgent — it thrives in dialogue, connection, and shared purpose, and it responds to the political, social, and historical moment we’re living in, especially across Africa and the diaspora. Deep gratitude to Nike Jonah, Erwin Maas, and all the incredible artists and peers I met — your generosity and vision made this journey possible. @pacebloem This experience was made possible with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts @canada.council — truly grateful. #amapm #panafricancreativeexchange #pace2025 #producerinresidence #creativity #stewardship #panafrican #collaboration #producer #africandiasporic

Lyrics of Unapologetic African “Format your mind from mental slavery, Sankofa to the roots that made you. Celebrate your blackness: Hair, skin, accent and culture.” If we must take back our African identity, I support @africanrebirth_ on this post that we should change our names and whatever that does not speak of Africanness in us. Listen to “Unapologetic African”, it’s not just a song/gbedupoetry, it’s a song for African renaissance and enlightenment and awareness. #2wyth #gbedupoet #visualstoryteller #usokunboy #UnapologeticAfrican #newmusic #african #africans @african.creative.awards @africancreativeminds @africancreativeconference @pacebloem @taswira_academy @iffac_official @creativeafricanexus @actmedia_tv @africancreative_hub

PACE 2025! The Pan Africa Creative Exchange (PACE) is an incredible platform to experience and exchange creative work from Africa and the diaspora. We were privileged to have a large delegation from the Netherlands, from creatives to producers, in part thanks to the support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South Africa. Supporting platforms for international exchange allows us to share our cultures and learn from each other. We are so grateful to the PACE team for allowing us to be part of this.

💫 "Blood of All Colors uses powerful theatre to explore colonial history, identity, and social justice. Through vivid scenes, music, and satire, it fosters cultural pride, civic awareness, and healing, offering educational and linguistic value across African communities and youth.” Agradecemos a todos os intérpretes, parceiros e equipa que tornaram este momento possível. 📍[Link na bio para saber mais] #SangueDeTodasAsCores #PACE2025 #PanAfricanCreativeExchange #TeatroLusófono #Internacionalização #ArtesPerformativas #JoãoGarciaMiguel #AfroDiaspórica #TeatroOnline #Moçambique #Angola #Brasil #portugal

I had the privilege of attending PACE alongside my business partner, brother, and friend in the arts @kingsmszwide. In recent years, we’ve made it a point to structure trips like these around creative work, usually travelling with a play to present and showcase when we arrive. But this time, @pacebloem was purely about connection: meeting new people, expanding networks, and building bridges between Johannesburg and the world. Conversations have started, ideas are flowing, and all I can say is - the future of theatre in South Africa is looking brighter than ever. A huge thank you to the organisers, and especially to @cheraehalley and Sis’Thandeka - you’ve been connecting the dots for us since day one, and we’re deeply grateful for the continued plug. #YesLets #Onward #TheArtCave #BuildingTheFuture #JustRunTheShow!
